Misty Day
Everyone thinks youâre dead, but of course youâre not, you have the power of resurgence.
âT-thank you.â Bonnie let out the grateful words almost as quiet as a whisper. She came all this way and the woman was actually inviting her in. âNameâs Bonnie Parker.â She smiled brightly. âMisty, right?âÂ
"That's right," Misty nodded as the woman got her name correct, "it's nice to meet ya, Bonnie."
It might have been foolish to let a total stranger into her home, but Misty was a generous person. This woman needed a place to stay, and the swamp witch was happy to offer the help -- besides, she would love to have the company. "Can I ask what brings ya here... besides needin' a place to stay?"

"Do I know you?"
"No. I believe youâre Misty Day?"
"I see." Regina skimmed her gaze over their surroundings and stepped up onto the back porch, just a few inches too close to Misty for perfect politeness. "And how exactly does it work? Is there a⌠Laying on of hands?" Another, faint little smile appeared, tight and shallow.
"Well, I just--" Misty lifted her mud covered hands that had dried onto her skin, about to demonstrate on Regina before realizing that the woman probably wouldn't want to be touched with dirty hands. So she timidly put them back down, "--if it's a person, I normally just lay my hands down on the sides of their face and close my eyes--" she closed her own eyes as she said so, "--and I concentrate. I force my own energy into 'em and usually it takes so much outta me that I faint shortly after the person is revived."

"What are you afraid of?"
The whispered words made her jaw clench involuntarily, her eyes slowly falling shut.Â
                What wasnât she afraid of?
âMistyâŚâ Her voice was soft. She didnât like the sound of it. So fragile and vulnerable⌠no. She had to be strong, or else she would be hurt. Thatâs how it worked.Â
Her expression seemed to subconsciously snap back to one of toughness and carelessness.
She would not allow herself to be so w e a k.
âThis was fun and all,â She breathed out, standing to collect her scattered clothes. âBut I need to go.â
Misty knew damn good and well not to let herself become attached to this young woman. She knew it wouldn't last for longer than it had -- which was only a single night.Â
The sound of Stevie Nicks' voice was playing faintly in the background, but it wasn't doing much to soothe the ache Misty was feeling. Watching Lena gather up her clothing after leaving the bed that they had shared, Misty sat up; holding the sheets around her bare torso.
"You ain't gotta leave yet," Misty said faintly, slight desperation in her voice. She hated being here all by herself. She wanted someone here with her -- just for a little bit longer. "C'mon. Stay with me. Just for a little while."
"That sounds painful."
Dark hues roll out of annoyance at the swamp witch. Her gaze flickers up to the blonde as her lips purse slightly. The undead movie starâs features display anger.
âNo shit, Sherlock. Getting your throat slit isnât a walk in the park.â
Was there anything else you needed? Go on. Shoo. She doesnât have all day.
Misty's eyes never left the younger witch's features. This girl had so much pent up anger it seemed -- and the swamp witch couldn't understand why. She wasn't dead anymore. She was given a new start.Â
"Well... gettin' burned at the stake ain't no rodeo either, Miss Madison. Why do ya seem so mad all the time?" She asked, curiosity filling her tone of voice.
"There is no God."
âEveryoneâs got their own ideals âbout how we all got here. I ainât gonna judge ya for yours.â

"Why are you wearin' that?"
Okay, so perhaps trying on clothes with the door open hadnât been the wisest decision. In Cordeliaâs defense, sheâd just recently regained her eyesight. The last thing on her mind was closing the door to her own room. But, when sheâd gone shopping the other day, sheâd found something that resembled Mistyâs clothes. Curiosity got the best of her, and she bought it. And wellâshe couldnât help but try it on. Had she known that the swamp witch was going to walk in on her, she would have changed at a more appropriate time.
âWhat?â Cordeliaâs body moved on itâs own, arms wrapping around her waist and chest, as if attempting to hide herself away. A dark pink color began to spread across her cheeks. âI umâWhy? UmâŚâ
It wasnât Mistyâs fault; there was no reason for the witch to apologize. It had been cruel of the two leading witches to take all of what was happening upon themselves. The correct thing to do would have been to ask all of the residentsâ opinions. Then, the small group could agree upon a place to live that would be far away from the hunters, the chaos. Nevertheless, Cordelia knew her mother would not allow the others to voice their opinions. There was no point in arguing with the Supreme. It would only bring her wrath, which was the last thing the daughter cared for. No. The Supreme and the Voodoo Queen could discuss at length alone.
âDonât worry about it. I have to stay strong. Not think about him.â She shrugged, placing a soft hand on the swamp witchâs knee. The short speech only helped to hold that gloomy smile. It was sweet of her to say that she would revive Cordelia first. A lithe hand reached up, brushing aside the curly blonde hair to get a better look at the womanâs face. âMe, huh? Why me?â She questioned, staring into the deep emerald eyes. At the comment involving how the witch burned at the stake, Cordelia had to keep from taking the Misty into her arms. She felt pity. Pity that there were people out there capable of pulling a girl to a wooden pole and burning her. Pity that the girl who had suffered such a fate was the female before her. âIâm sorry that they did that to youâDo you need a hug?â She suggested, half jokingly, opening her arms to Misty.
Misty's hues followed the headmistress' hand to her knee until that same hand came up to brush the swamp witch's thick curls aside. Though, they didn't stay out of the way for long before the tresses came tumbling forward again. Her breath caught in her throat at Cordelia's touch and she tried her best not to blush at the contact --- though the grin on her face was obviously being forced away. "I dunno. I like ya the most 'round here. Kyle and Zoe would come in close second, though. That poor boy. Had only I gotten to him sooner, he might 'a been resurrected with more 'an half a brain," a faint smirk spread across her features. "Your girls are powerful, they just need to learn how to use it a little bit better."
When the hug was offered to her, Misty was hesitant for a moment -- her grin growing on her face. She didn't need a hug because of what those people had done to her. She was long over that by now. The swamp witch wasn't one to hold a grudge. What was the point? It would only make her miserable. Besides, now she felt more alive and healthy as ever. "I don't really need a hug, but I wouldn't mind havin' one," without hesitation, Misty leaned forward and wrapped her arms around Cordelia, leaning into her mentor's open ones. She leaned her head against Cordelia's shoulder and closer her eyes, allowing herself to relax against the other woman. "Thank ya, Miss 'Delia. For everythin'."
Bonnie heard the southern twang in the voice of the woman and she smiled. Surely theyâd be kindred spirits. Hopefully. She didnât want to be asking to stay with no prude or bigot.  âHi, um, Misty, inât?â Bonnie looked over the woman with her backwoods flair to her. âFiona said you could give me a place to stayâŚâ
Besides the people she brought back to life and cared for until they were fully healed, Misty had never really gotten house guests. And definitely never had complete strangers showing up on her doorstep asking for a place to stay. A gentle smile formed on her face and she stepped aside to let the redhead in, "Come on in, darlin'. What's your name?" She asked curiously. Misty was a lonely woman, that was for sure. So she'd never turn away company unless she saw them as a threat.
"Do I know you?"
"No. I believe youâre Misty Day?"
"Letâs just say I have friends in the area." A brief, mirthless smile surfaced on Reginaâs face. "Iâm interested to know how exactly your ability⌠Works. Did you learn it?"
Misty set down her watering can on a chair by her back porch before turning to give this Regina Mills her full attention. A small shrug of her shoulders followed the woman's question, "No, I just... was born with it, I guess." A childlike smile spread on her lips.Â
Alright. I gotta go. I'll get to my asks and replies tomorrow. Good night. :)
I suddenly have a great idea for a Swan Queen fic. I know what I'm doing tomorrow on my day off.

Sorry about that. I think I should watch this episode again -- NOT stoned. Maybe it would make more sense and not make me so upset. I just. Ugh. The only ships I cared about are ruined. I bet Captain Swan is happy, though. Bah. I'm jealous. Swan Queen isn't gonna happen, is it? Let me cry. Regina. My bby. She had way too many feels for me to be able to contain my own. Though -- this episode was like the best and worst for Swan Queen. That little speech she gave Emma was touching. And then they were ripped away from once another AGAIN. I'm so sad. Okay. Sorry American Horror Storyers. I'm done ranting about a fandom that's not yours. Lol.
Are you fucking kidding me? This is some goddamn bullshit. Why the fuck do I like this show? I'm so fucking angry with this goddamn mid-season finale. MY SHIP! I HAVE LIKE A SLIVER OF HOPE LEFT FOR MY OTP. But I'm not fucking giving up. Anyways, besides the destruction of my OTP, I hated this episode. They fucked this shit up hard-fucking-core. And I had way too many feels, and NOT in a good way. On the bright side, The Wicked Witch of the West will be in the next episode!
