PWHL Hamilton today announced that forward Alina Müller has been signed to a three-year Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) Standard Player Agreement ahead of the team’s inaugural 2026-27 season. Müller, who was under contract with the Boston Fleet, joins PWHL Hamilton on a new deal through the 2028-29 campaign and becomes the third of five players to be added during Phase 2 of the PWHL’s Expansion Roster Distribution Process.

the way pwhl fans have made Britta Curl the scapegoat for the league will never not piss me off, not because I agree with her beliefs, but because by scapegoating one player and directing all your attention to loudly hating her you don't actually do anything real.

Also, aside from the fact that Britta Curl is not the only player with her beliefs in the league, I actually don't think yelling at the league to fire her is productive! I actually don't think a business should be allowed to discriminate against employees based on their political beliefs! I think that's a dangerous precedent to set, personally!

Like you don't have to spend your money in support of a franchise with players who are loud about politics you don't agree with. But saying they don't deserve to pay their bills and feed themselves is not exactly the most progressive take either.

They also have a lot of history about the city and the unique challenges black LGBT people face. And Ruth Ellis the name sake the foundation was amazing. I’m matching my donation from my Curl tax to them in the up coming season.

I’m going to be looking for more Detroit based organizations people can follow, support, and donate too. I already found Stone Wall Sports Detroit! I would love other people to comment about organizations and grass root movements they know about. Even if it’s not in Detroit.
