The Art Deco era brought not just great stations, but great trains to boot. Take the "Mercury", a streamliner passenger train which operated in the Midwest between 1936 and 1959.

There are plenty of nice looking locomotives these day too! But it's really hard to make a two-sided design look that sleek, add onto that modern conveniences/requirements such as lights, (windows/windshields), windshield wipers, engine numbers, etc, and you're left without the minimalist sleekness. Pantographs are also hard to look pretty.

Still, I think they some of them look nice.

The Siemens Eurosprinter:

The Alstom Prima:

The Stadler FLIRT also looks nice, though it is an actuated train set, not an engine. Pictures are once again from Wikipedia. This is the closest you'll get to the "Bullet" design these days, since the other direction is on the other end of the train, and these units are also diesel, so no pantograph.

And, as a bonus, have the DB Class 401 (ICE 1 Power Car). The couplers on this are covered up. These are also technically not standalone engines, though.

In conclusion, while we cannot have the pretty Arc Deco look back, we still have a lot of nice looking engines!

twin peaks season two is so insane bc the main plot will be like. here's this really intense scene where the killer confesses and we begin to understand things. and then the B plot will be whether or not Andy had enough sperms to get lucy pregnant and dick tremayne is also there. insane show.
