It wasn’t every day that Barry was in public as the Flash, but today, Captain Cold had decided to rob a bank and that just wasn’t going to happen. Barry knew that the people and the government weren’t so keen on vigilantes at the moment, but what's a superhero to do? Just allow the bad guys to get away with it? 

Barry had been too busy dodging the rays of ‘blizzard’ from the cold gun, that he accidentally flashed passed some debris and had cut his side open. 

“Oh, this? It’s nothing.” He said with a smile but winced as soon as he had said it. There was still a shred of metal in the wound, preventing it from healing properly. “On that thought, yeah, maybe just a little hurt.” He was now using his hand to applying pressure to the wound to slow down the bleeding. “I don’t suppose you have a first aid kit or something?” He asked weakly. 

He already felt himself becoming dizzy, there was no way he could run to a hospital in this state, he could run into someone and seriously hurt them, or worse, run through them. 

"Yeah sure.” Barry said hesitantly before shoving his hands into his police parker. This did not stop him from waving them everywhere whilst he spoke, causing him to look like a crazy flying squirrel. 

Jonathan Groff aka Luke Adams

Connection:

Luke is part of the CCPD Serial Crime Unit and has worked with Barry on a few recent cases. Luke is also Barry’s current friend with benefits.

Relationship:

Luke can be as goofy as Barry but is much more level headed in multiple ways. Luke and Barry get along very well and there’s a ton of lust between the two at the moment, but Barry isn’t ready to commit to anything serious. Barry admires Luke’s abilities when to comes to psychology. Luke often analysize Barry which annoys him at first but he often realizes that Luke’s right most of the time. 

Their feelings towards Barry:

Jack Reynor aka Austin van Duyn 

Connection:

Austin is a younger member of the CCPD force and a colleague of Barry’s.

Relationship:

Barry and Austin have a rough relationship. Barry would not consider Austin a friend. Austin can be arrogant and is easily corrupted. There have been multiple occasions where evidence has gone missing or the crime scene had been moved around. Barry has no evidence just yet but he’s sure it’s due to Austins involvement in the cases.

Courtney Eaton aka Alisha Wright

Connection:

Alisha Wright is Central City's youngest self-made tech millionaire. At the age of 26, not only does she have her masters in both mechanical and electrical engineering, but she’s also the CEO of her own tech-giant company whilst having shares in S.T.A.R Labs. 

Barry has often come to Alisha for help when he comes across a piece of technology, alien or not, that he does not quite understand. 

Relationship:

Alisha and the Flash get along very well as their personalities match. They often have a nerdy session together but they’re also professional with each other. Barry has considered sharing his secret identity with her, but not just yet.

Eka Darville aka Detective Jackson Walker 

Connection:

Detective Jackson Walker is a member of the CCPD and a colleague of Barry’s. 

Relationship:

Barry and Jackson are work colleagues and have been on countless cases together. They get along quite well although Barry thinks Jackson just has a lot of patience for him. Would he go get a drink at a bar with him after work? Sure, why not. But Barry wouldn’t consider him a close friend. 

Their feelings towards Barry: 

Lois had requested to see a report on a case he was working on that involved Captain Cold and the ‘chill squad’ aka the Rogues. He had just started doodling on the back of the report when Lois walked in and seemed to seize the room. Barry always forgot how much power a determined and skilled reporter could have. 

“Lois. Great to see you again so soon... Not that I’ve seen you recently, but I’m just glad that it’s sooner than I thought it would be, rather than later...” ‘Good job Barry, way to mess that up’.

“You probably shouldn’t be here Barry,” he said to himself, “but, it is technically Justice League property.” As if fate himself had heard him someone entered through the lounge doors. “Oh hey, Don’t mind me. You’re more than welcome to join if you like.”

“You know me, a big case needing the cooperation of the CCPD and MPD, I can’t not stick my nose into it?” Clark smiled amicably as he pushed up his glasses through his slouch. It was always nice to be able to see Barry, in or out of costume. “And I would like that very much thanks,” he nodded to the offer.

Then, dropping his voice to a low enough tone that only Barry could hear, “Would you like some help to speed up the analysis?”  He was already zooming in on the residue as they spoke, for his own investigative purposes, but if Barry’d rather input the data through the appropriate channels, that was more than fair.

Barry turned to look at the residue they were both speaking of, “I mean, I won’t say no but I definitely have this handled. I am the one that analyzes it after all, and that’s the fun part of the job.” It was true, the main reason he became a forensic scientist was because of the science part and the only reason he was here was due to the special ‘abnormal’ circumstances of the crime, his specialty. 

“It looks like there’s been a kidnapping and this is where it all went down. The individual was forced into a van here and the van speed away. We can get the tyre brand from the skid marks which should allow us to identify what kind of van we are looking for. But the substance that was left behind, definitely not normal. Might have been left behind by a meta or alien.” He paused from his speedy explanation to catch a breath. “I have a metahuman database to compare it to, but if it’s alien, that’s when I could use some help.” 

“I can’t give you an official statement just yet, but I can give you one off the books.” He said with a grin as he began to remove his gloves and motioned for the Metropolis’ forensic team to do the sampling instead.

                     “ Remember, Flash. Not everything is what it seems. You don’t know what’s inside or below. “    The last CADMUS site they bust seemed to have the same description. All shady places are.    “ Can you move around 350 to 500 miles per hour when you move in? There might be motion sensor. Just to be safe, you know? “

Barry also knew what secrets certain places could hide, especially Cadmus laboratories, especially secret Cadmus laboratories. “Slow and steady then?” Of course 350 - 500 miles was not slow, but it was about a fifth of his top speed. 

Barry zipped through the boundaries of the site and phased himself in through one of the exterior walls. “Hang on, Just going to do recon.” He ran through the passages on ground floor so fast that he was back to his original spot within the second. “This place has a pretty standard layout. Tons of guards though, especially to the west side.” He paused. “I can get past them but they’ll definitely know I’m here. The other option would be to knock them out before they get the chance to alarm anyone.” Barry was used to doing things efficiently, but Babs probably knew about the guards already. 

“Do you think they’re concentrated there for a reason? The secret entrance is probably there.”
