“I knew I kept a couple of these around for a good reason, and tonight is definitely one of those! If you’re a good boy they’ll probably give you a cute fire hat to match.
You still think I was kidding about taking you to the open house to see the new fire truck? You should know me better by now little man. Remember Mr. Neil, from the bar? With the big hands and the tattoos? Well he’s actually Captain Neil, and he insisted I bring you with me so you can sit in the truck and hold the big hose.
Of course you don’t get to have all the fun tonight! After he’s finished showing you around, Captain Neil and I are going to the bar…and then I’m gonna get ahold of a big hose too! Way more fun than your lil soaker, and I don’t mean the diaper kiddo.
Speaking of, make sure to grab your diaper bag before you get in the car. Neil says there’s a couple of old timers that agreed to babysit til we get back, even if that’s in the morning. Don’t worry, everyone knows the safest place to leave an unwanted baby is the fire house!”
