Candace likes the guy. She loves his energy and he's so funny to be with. He always plays and gives her funny food! But he's too noisy for her and has too much energy for her comfort sometimes. It's not his fault though! It's just, she's used to calmer people .

As Mikey is very friendly and energetic, he is Candace's favorite one to play with. He would rather know why she’s too bit-y.

He reminds her so much of her big sis. He's anxious and messy and needs all the help he can get (Just like her sister! But taller), that's why she tries ro help him. Candace will make sure he sleeps and take brakes, she will give him her best hugs to help him calm down!
As she’s too curious and touches and smells everything, he tries to keep her from everything. She keeps trying anyway.
He was the most anxious with the idea, but, for some reason, is the one that Candace follows the most.
When he does something, she keeps staring at him, silently. He gets used to it, at some point.
If she needs something, she will ask Donnie.
He might not be the most affectionate but she likes to stay close to him for some reason.
She tries to make sure he sleeps. Leo is very thankful for the thought .
She calls him "Don"
Sometimes she will try to pat his head to comfort him, but she's too little and only gets to pat his back. The intention is what it matters though.
Candace thinks he's the best one, among the hugs and the permission to bite, she had found someone to trust and who will protect her as much as her big sis. He's so easy to get along with, it's like they were in the same vibe!
Even though he was very against the idea, he was the quickest one to get used to her.

When he gets angry, she barks at him because she doesn’t like angry people.
He’s also the one that she bites the most, for the funsies.
He tries to not swear around her.
If Candace asked for a weapon, she would ask Raph.
She loves how easy he understands her, she's so not verbal with him because he probably will understand her anyways.
She calls him "'ed" except when she's angry and calls him "Red". Mostly because the "R" is kind of difficult if she isn't growling
Candace sees him as the leader, the family-head. The only ones that she saw before him was mom and, maybe, big sis. If he says it is eat time, it is eat time, if he says it is sleep time, it is sleep time, for everyone. She knows how tiring the role can be, she has seen it, but don't worry, she will help him whenever she can!
He… doesn’t quite understand at all why he accepted to take care of her, but he won’t say anything, especially after her big sister started to pay… Now he feels less guilty about asking April or Casey some things because he can pay back. Sometimes.
Candace followed him at first.
He might not be the closest one with her but if she feels scared, she is going to hide behind Leo.
If Leo sits, meditates or takes a nap, she’s going to follow him and sit immediately at his side or take a nap near him.

When Leo starts the training with Candace around, she'll try to join, so he will give her some exercise. She's happy with that.

Okay, so, first of all, this was inspired by a dream about TMNT 2012 which was my growing up TMNT, second, I do not speak english. Offenses taken, let's go.

It all started in just another night after all the... Kraang stuff, it’s final. It was during a patrol of routine. Silent streets, fulfilled in the remaining terror of the Kraang era, of the Foot’s attacks, of all the mutant new stuff. A ghost of the city NY used to be.
In the middle of the obscure night, when all the lights went off as no one dared to look outside, they heard yelling. Idishtingible from the distance, and yet, a clear mugging among a desperate criminal and a citizen who keep their fighting spirit. They rushed as the situation didn’t seem to have a good ending.
They were able to leave the mugger unconscious, and a mix of relief and anxiety invaded them as they saw the gun they held and the citizen who had a kid, completely hidden by a hoodie, in their arms. What could have been, how could it end, the situation itself didn’t present a happy ending.
And then, the eyes. The person was looking at them, staring at them like they were considering all their options. And then, they nodded.
“Yup, you should be just fine” The person said as they accommodated the kid while she kept looking at them, “Her name is Candace, she is not very verbal but she knows how to make herself clear just fine, she likes physical touch and being held but no kisses or touching her paws.” What? What was happening???
“What?” Raph murmured the thought they all had, but he was completely ignored.
“She’s very curious too and doesn’t have self preservation, so be very careful. I’ll be back in 3 hours since this was an emergency shift. Thank you very much” The person said as she held the kid by her armpits in front of Leo, who extended his own arms as a reflection. “Be good, baby, but don’t be afraid to bite and fight if you think you are in danger. I love you and I’ll be back soon enough, ok?” The kid just nodded, the citizen just nodded back with a smile as they left her carefully in the turtle’s hands, she felt a little too soft for just having a hoodie. “Good, love you baby”
“Lov’ too” The little girl muttered back. The person just smiled brighter before turning their head back to the turtles.
“I’m so sorry for this but I had no time and- I know you’ll treat her just fine, you look like really nice guys and- I- Thank you very much again” And then, she runned before they could process the entire situation.
They- They really didn’t understand it at all, they are mutants in a era of being afraid of all the no-human things. Why would she trust in them? It can’t be just because they save them, people usually run. Why then, why?
The silence fulfilled the alley, until a soft voice broke it.
“S’rry, big sis rush” She said, tilting her head towards her sister’s direction.
And their attention was all in the little girl in Leo’s arms, looking at her as she just turned her head to face them. And then, one of them (Probably Mikey), gently removed the hood, revealing her face.
And they suddenly were able to understand why she reacted so calmly to them, why she trusted them for just helping.
“Mmh?” She stares at them without moving anything but her ears, in a dog-like attitude, something just appropriate for a dog-like mutant child.
