Intro:

I got sick of my agere and agedre stuff being confined to a sideblog, so I made this account. The sideblog I'm talking about is @just-vibing-with-my-plush-rattle.

Pronouns: they/them, it/its, that/that/its/its/itself, kit/kitself (you can stick with they/it if you're bad at using the others, I won't mind!)

I'm a perma-agedreamer. For me this means that when I'm not regressed, I'm always either in that middle ground between 'normal' headspace and agere or highly influenced by it.

Agere age range: 0-1

Perma-agedre range: 7-9 but I'm also not fully sure.

I very much do not wanna get involved in drama on here. This is meant to be a place where I can chill without even having to see the notifs from a non-agere main.

Orientation: aroace and afamilial

I'm pro youthlib and this combined with me being afamilial makes me uncomfy with certain kinds of agere content. I won't be annoying about it, I just won't interact with certain kinds of posts.

I don't have a real DNI, but I do block freely. Just don't make me uncomfy with your interactions (ex: reblogging my stuff onto a non-sfw blog, messaging me icky stuff) and you'll probably be fine.

Reminder to the regressors and dreamers who are bummed about being bodily an adult: lots of us can buy our own toys which is so awesome. We don't gotta worry about whether or not our parent or guardian will think the toy's too dumb or babyish or whatever, we can just get it with our big kid money :3

And to the regressors and dreamers who aren't bodily adults yet: I hope one day you get to reach this point and that you get to have the toys and comfort items you deeply want but can't get yet.

Seeing posts about how it's okay to do the voices in your head when you play with dollies or whatever kinda brought back a memory for me.

I remember one time as an older kid when I tried to do that kind of pretend play type stuff and I couldn't do it 'normally' by doing the voices out loud so I got upset with myself.

It's so nice seeing stuff about how the way I did it by default was okay. And there's the posts about how I don't even need to do it at all if I don't want to, which are also very awesome.

I wish there were sippy cups that looked like normal water bottles until you opened up the cap. I love sippy cups, but it'd be really awesome to be able to take them out and about without having to worry about hiding them.

I get that there are silicone thingies that you can put on any cup to make it a sippy cup, but I've tried those before and they're so hard to put on a cup. Like, 'needs my full big kid strength' type of hard. I'm thinking of something low effort that comes with the bottle.

And I don't even care if the 'normal water bottle' looks like a kids water bottle. What matters is that anyone passing by me assumes there's a normal straw in it rather than a sippy cup lid.

Really wanted to make a post highlighting how "mental" agere can be. Often times, agere won't be visible. Of course, it can manifest itself in more "physical" ways like: chewing onto your sleeves/ fingers, being quieter, looking more sleepy/ down, a need for closeness, etc. But agere is primarily mental, which then leads to physical manifestations. Agere can be hidden, especially when it is a coping/ defense mechanism, unlike childhood developmental regression or other instances of the likes. And so, yes, a lot of the times agere can be like: a lack of motivation to do more "adult" things, getting uncomfortable with mature topics, feeling estranged with your body, wanting to engage in simpler things (coloring, pretend play, watching movies...), feeling alienated by your bodily age, having a hard time being by yourself, etc. All of these things are wants/ needs that can be surpressed, easily or not. Most people that regress don't even know about it. Actually, most people regress at some point in their lives. Some regress more than others, which are usually the people that identify as regressors. Regression is primarily mental... something that happens after accute exhaustion, or as a way to manage it.

With all that, what I mean to say is: don't be insecure if you've got no agere gear, or if you're not interested in it at all, or if your regression isn't aesthetic, or if no one knows about it... Agere is more complex, and very personal. Do not fall for the "internet-afied" version of it. You're still valid.

I wish I could have not a caregiver, but an equal person who respects my regression too.

Lots of my issues stem from me feeling inferior, so I'd love to have someone who accepts my regression but who doesn't cause those inferiority type feelings in me to intensify.

No power imbalance, no rules, no stressful moments where I get upset and the other person sees it as me being bad.

Just me being their equal who also happens to be a baby sometimes and kind of a kiddo all the time.
