Cg Stratt&Little Grace💫I’m an absolute sucker for Littles who are taller than their cg, Grace feels absolutely perfect for it. Carl for sure gives Stratt a hand when carrying Grace around the vat, such a clever boy but he is a little no matter what.

Grace is in a constant state of clinging, stage 5 clinger forever. Luckily Stratt doesn’t mind, her little boy can hold onto her for however long he likes.

anyway, grace would have a copy for funsies. probably a relic from teaching middle school. even when hes little it makes him giggle bc of course licking the sample slides is bad for you!!!

however. when rocky wants to entertain the baby and finds this book, gives it a blast with the crystal gun... he is not in on the joke.

grace taught middle school, which about covers the age range where a kid might still throw a tantrum but also has the necessary experience to insult someone in a way that actually hurts, so rocky's absolute grumpiest is not that impactful. he just waits it out until rocky exhausts himself (which doesn't take that long, relatively — humans are endurance hunters, after all). and then,

"all done, buddy?"

[defeated whistle/sigh]

"it was frustrating when our math didn't agree, huh."

"... grace think rocky stupid."

"aw, rock, no," grace scoots close to rocky's ball — he's sitting on the floor so they're about eye level — and gently taps out their code word for everything's ok. "rocky is very smart. and very good at math. but we're working together, which means we help each other when we make mistakes, right?"

rocky is currently all splooted out, but tilts towards grace.

"it was tough being so mad. and your body did what it needed to do to get that all out. no hard feelings, ok?"

"... grace rocky still best friends?"

so i think baby grace happily drumming his hands on rocky's ball is very pebble-coded. rocky taps from the inside to harmonize and praises him for repeating rhythms ["amaze amaze amaze! grace very good at tapping!"] bc due to eridian language being so musical, teaching hatchlings to imitate complex rhythms is veryyy important

grace's most favorite game ever is imitate, of course. making rocky do silly stuff bc he does silly stuff is sooo much fun. sometimes hes too baby to lead tho so rocky gets to. always tells grace good job, grace is best eridian etc.

It's a lot easier for there to be baby days for Grace on erid(especially because Rocky was like "oh yeah this is actually something humans need." to the scientist when they first arrived back xD)

These days usually start with a veeeery sleepy Gracey who does not wanna get outta bed (he's typically pretty sleepy if he wakes up feeling that small!) so Armando will sorta do that patting you do so gently wake a baby and by then Rocky n' Adrian will be there♡

First things first is getting all fresh n' cleaned up for the day (a change, outfit etc) before breakfast ♡

When Grace is that itty-bitty it's always a nutrient-dense formula that he's fed (something that Grace had lived on the first few months on erid but now was just used for baby days to ensure he was still getting all his nutrients!) usually Adrian will be the one to feed him while Rocky is already buzzing and talking to Grace ;u;

Grace of course by now is fluent (or nearly) in eridian but Rocky and Adrian like to shift their tones/melodies to the ones you use with hatchlings, something easier for little ones to understand, especially when your hatchling doesn't have the same vocal cords/hearing as you do♡♡ it helps Grace feel smaller when he hears these softer pitches/tones. Of course sometimes they'd slip into more advanced/regular eridian tones when chittering amongst themselves while holding Grace, which honestly makss Grace feel very baby bc/ the grown ups are talkin' but he doesn't need to pay attention to the conversation ;u; ♡

After breakfast is some outside time because it's important for tiny ones to be out in the sun! It's mostly Grace sitting up in the sand while Rocky brings him cool looking rocks (then immediately regretting it because Grace's first instinct is to put them in his mouth xD) and just enjoying the morning ☆

Even with the limited play outside, Grace gets sleepy and is in need of a nap (he only protest slightly until Rocky says he'll stay with him and watch over, which instantly has Grace accept the nap) 💖

After a nap it's lunchtime which, is another bottle and maaaaybe some attempts with some soft food (like oatmeal) that is easy for Grace to eat. But, about 80% gets over his hands and face and 20% in his tummy (he's very enthusiastic when it comes to lunch) xD

After lunch it's about more of the same, some play outside then some hanging out inside. Even through he's very itty-bitty, they still like to teach Grace stuff ;u; so sometimes the play is Rocky n' Adrian teaching Grace some hatchling signs and tones. They know he won't fully be able to replicate the tones but they praise him for trying his best (aka: he's just babbling but, they'll consider that him trying!!) !💖💖💖

Eventually afternoon becomes evening and that starts the night time routine for baby Grace ;u; getting him his supper, giving him a lil bath before getting dressed for bed♡

THE silliest Papa!

• ALWAYS narrating what he does because he knows thats good for tiny one's to know what exactly is happening, especially when they're baby headspace 💖

• Loves scooping them up and peppering them with kissies, always cooing over them because they'll giggles when his scruffy beard tickles their cheeks/face

• Science teacher through and through! He loves to put on tot/baby shows that are science related. He's personally a huge fan of Sid the Science Kid because it's not too overstimulating for his baby♡

• There's like several tabs open on his phone for mundane task (he has three wikihow tabs dedicated to proper bottle care and two youtube vids on how to distract tiny ones during changes or during meal time on demand xD) because he might be a scientist but oh goodness is he still learning the ropes of being a carer!

• He's really good at playing with his baby! He's a master at giving the best voices to their teddies and a god at making the best imaginary tea♡♡♡

• Sooo much praise! He loves praising his baby! He'll ruffle their hair and tell them what a good job they're doing as they stack their blocks or babble along as he's reading to them ;u;

Their carer finds them all the time, standing on a stool to stir pasta they’re making, muffling their cries with a teddy bear or cleaning up their own scraped knees. And carer is trying to be patient, rushes in and tries to take over so kiddo knows they’re not alone and they’re being taken care of now.

Yes, the PHM brainrot is real, and like, can you blame me? Anyways, here’s a smol Ryland nesting/sleeping with Rocky, while Adrian watches over both of them… also i read a shifter fic and it was too cute not to make Grace a fox shifter, so yeah… also, big fan of Adrian looking at Grace just one second and saying “Gosh, this one is traumatized, OURS now” and keeping them 🤭
