a/n: im so sorry for taking so long to write your request i had a creative block in all my fics, i hope you like it
When you and Logan found out you were pregnant, it was the biggest surprise of your lives, specially considering that both of you were fresh out of college and starting your lives and discovering who you were outside the school, but even throught all those thoughts and doubts, both of you decided to keep the baby, having the support from both of your families and friends, who were excited for the second baby of the group
During the entirety of the pregnancy, you and Logan had the support of everyone around you on every aspect of the pregnancy, but the moments both of you shared alone were the most special ones
Like buying the first item even thought none of you knew what the baby would be, or talking to the baby, preparing the car with the seat, accompanying him to private trainings while disscussing baby names, and must important was learning that you were expecting a girl
Recieving that news was like the starter point to convert the free room in the department you shared into a nursery, along with buying more things, including a mini hockey uniform and puck and a Build-A-Bear with the whole gear
"She's going to look so good in this", Logan exclaimed
"And she's going to match with her teddy bear", you smiled
When the time to deliever her arrived, both of you rushed to the hospital after your water broke while you were having breakfast and Logan told a joke that made you laugh
At the hospital, the doctors led you to a room where you started to have contractions which lasted for hours, but they were slightly better because Logan never left your side during those agonazing hours holding your hands and helping in any way he could and giving words of encouragement
After hours of feeling like your babygirl was about to get out of your body like a xenomorph of 'Alien', the ob-gyn communicated that the baby was ready to enter the world, at what Logan was quick to stand by your side and hold your hand
"Okay baby, this is it", Logan said while they were prepparing everything, "This is the final of the season we've been playing for nine months, this is the championship game, and we are going to win it"
"We're going to win it", you smiled throught the pain, "Our Blake"

During the next hours of labour, Logan held your hand while whispering words of encouragement at your and promising to wake up any time the baby decided to cry during nighttime (which he kept promising during the previous months) and get you a sushi boat after finishing
After what felt like days of pushing, relief invaded your body when the cries of your baby started to fill the room, causing tears to fall of yours and Logan eyes while holding each other in excitement
"Dad, do you want to cut the cord?", one of the doctors asked while other were cheking on the baby
Nodding, Logan left a kiss on your lips before approaching where the doctors were and following their instructions on how to do it, while you watched with a tired smile on your face
"And here's your baby", another doctor said placing the now clean baby in his arms, "Congratulations parents"
Having the baby on his arms, caused that the silent tears that Logan had in his eyes to transform into cascades that seemed to be infinite by the feeling of finnally having the most beautiful thing that could exist and that now was the center of yours and Logan universe

While waiting for the In-N-Out order to be ready, the two of you discussed what the next steps would be taken, deciding that the best was to tell the group first and after that, telling both families the news, you sent a text to the girls telling them to go to the house, while Dean did the same with the boys

The day had been a regular one, classes at morning, Logan at practice and you at the library at evening, and Malone's with the group at night for dinner while helping Hannah and Allie during their shift
Having planned to go to the movies that night, you and Logan left early to start the road to the cinema, but in the middle of the way while singing along with the songs on the radio, you noticed a small ball of fur on the side of the road
"Babe, can you stop the car, please?", you asked without taking your eyes of the road
"Yeah, sure", Logan nodded doing the action, "What's wrong?"
"I think I saw something"
You said before stepping out of the truck and approach the little creature that resulted to be a small puppy with caramel furr and floppy ears who was trembling in fear, which you took in your arms and returned to the truck being welcomed to Logan's stunned face
"It's a puppy", you smiled warming the dog in your arms
"It's so small", Logan comented with cuteness scratching it behind the ears, "We should take it to the vet to make sure everything's alright"
During the whole car ride, the puppy started to warm up to both of you and stop shivering, even walking towards Logan's lap during a red light
"Hey buddy", Logan smiled
"I rescued you and leave me alone", you recriminated as joke to the puppy who just snuggled on your boyfriend's lap while he laughed
Arriving at the emergency vet, they let the three of you into a consultory when the doctor checked that the puppy, who was a girl and was two months old and probably separated from their pack or it was abandoned by the road
Knowing that it would be cruel to leave her on foster care at the vet after being lost, both of you decided to adopt her, resulting in going to the pet store and buying the basic things for the night and the next day
Arriving at the house, and noticing no one was there yet, the two of you decided to give the puppy a bath on the sink of the kitchen, before going to Logan's room and prepare a corner with the bed and some toys and a blanket
"Okay, Sidney, here is were you're going to sleep", Logan said while the puppy sniffed the space
"The name is still on disscussion", you spoke from your place in bed wearing only one of his shirts
"Sidney is a great name", Logan argued
"Yeah, the same name as Sidney Crosby from the Pittsburgh Penguins", you laughed
"Don't worry, I know a way to convince you", Logan smiled approaching the bed
Getting into the bed, both of you started to kiss before falling into bed and cover with the sheets and continue with the moment, until you were interrupted due to the cries of your new child, at what both of you turned to look at her, who was sitting close to the human bed who was looking at both of you with a smile on her face
"What's wrong, sweetie?", you asked her making her approach the bed, "Want to sleep with us?"
In response, Sidney just let out a small bark at what Logan, who was closer to her, stretched to grab her and put her in between both of you
"There we go", Logan sighed as Sidney sniffed the new surface
"I love the distribution system of pets", you commented scratching her back, "We still need to think on how to tell the rest about Sidney"
"That is a problem for tomorrow us", Logan said starting to turn off the lights
When the time to acomodate to sleep arrived, you and Logan did the usual thing, which was your head on his chest and his arm circling your waist, but since Sidney already clinged to both of you (more to Logan), she decided to climb on his chest and lay there, while both of you look at her with cuteness and afraid to startle her if any of you moved, falling asleep just like that in a cuddle pile
