I've crafted these amulets in the style of Jewish mystical amulets used for protection (as you might have seen in Kabbalistic amulets throughout history, such as the ones I previously shared with you). I opted to keep these as simple as possible, to make them easier for you to copy them (and add to them should you like).
I've drafted up two versions of the amulet, one with a round, shield-like design, and the other using the sacred text in typical line-form, which could be easier to recreate but is no less effective.
[Please do not replicate or take inspiration from these Jewish workings if you are not Jewish.]
The amulets pictured above both use the same sacred text to invoke protection — Tehillim/Psalms 17:8-9 :
שׇׁ֭מְרֵנִי כְּאִישׁ֣וֹן בַּת־עָ֑יִן בְּצֵ֥ל כְּ֝נָפֶ֗יךָ תַּסְתִּירֵֽנִי׃
מִפְּנֵ֣י רְ֭שָׁעִים ז֣וּ שַׁדּ֑וּנִי אֹיְבַ֥י בְּ֝נֶ֗פֶשׁ יַקִּ֥יפוּ עָלָֽי׃
Guard me like the apple of Your eye;
hide me in the shadow of Thy wings
from the wicked who oppress me,
from the deadly enemies who encircle me.
In the image on the left, that text encircles the Magen David, with a chai symbol, meaning 'life' or 'to live'.
The amulets also feature four angelic names, invoked for protection.
I've left space in the center of the Magen David, which can either be left blank or can be used to include your name (putting your name at the center of angelic protection and sacred texts invoking protection) or any protective symbol you feel personally drawn to (some common Jewish symbols of protection are eyes, hamsa, and fish).
While writing the amulets is recommended (as there is significance in the act of putting ink to paper/parchment), you could also simply print these out to use them (or add to them or trace them). Whatever you choose to do with them, after crafting them, recite the verse (doesn't have to read in Hebrew, and you can find lots of translations on Sefaria should you have another language you wish to recite the words in — simply click on the verse, which will bring a menu of options up as a sidebar; select translations; the sidebar will then become a scrollable selection of the available translations in multiple languages and from various eras of text). You can also call upon the angels named for their protection (I've included Michael, Rafael, Uriel, and Gabriel) or speak from your heart in prayer or invocation of protection. You can also call upon ancestors for their protection and add their names to the amulet, in the same way the angels are named.
From then, the amulet can be carried with you — in a pocket, in your wallet, pinned on the inside of your clothes, etc. — for protection.

Viv's beautiful blessing in Tefilat Trans formed the initial inspiration & core of this amulet, which will be printed on 2.5" square cards that can easily fit in your wallet, inside a phone case, or whatever you're carrying (i probably can't be the first person to think of making amulets using a print company's business card template, but i bet it's not their usual fare).

these were also visually inspired by historical Jewish written amulets in the Gaster & Gross Family collections, which i highly recommend browsing if you love antique Judaica as much as i do!

Creatures from the Kennicott Bible, an illuminated manuscript copy of the Hebrew Bible, copied in A Coruña, Spain in 1476 by the calligrapher Moses ibn Zabarah and illuminated by Joseph ibn Hayyim 🔮🦇👼🏼🐉🐻🐊🐒🦚🪞
It is regarded as one of the most exquisite illuminated manuscripts in Hebrew and one of the most lavishly illuminated Sephardic manuscript of the 15th century. According to the historian Cecil Roth, one of the most outstanding aspects of this copy is the close collaboration it shows between the calligrapher and the illuminator, rare in this type of work.
In 1476, Isaac, a Jewish silversmith from Coruña, son of Salomón de Braga, commissioned an illuminated Bible from the scribe Moses ibn Zabarah who lived in Coruña with his family on behalf of his patron. He spent ten months to scribe the Bible, writing two folios on a daily basis. Illumination of the manuscript was the responsibility of Joseph ibn Hayyim, who is remembered thanks to this work.
The first documentation of the Jewish presence dates to 1375. Jewish population in A Coruña grew rapidly throughout the Late Middle Ages. It is thought that after the persecution of Jews in Castile, a large number of Jewish people took refuge in Galicia. The Jewish community in Coruña traded with Castile and Aragon, and in 1451 they contributed to the rescue of the Murcian Jews with a large sum of money, which could demonstrate the prosperity of the community.
So this looks like a good read.
