“I love watching Barefoot Gen yay the gore horror is so uwu cool!” Barefoot Gen was vent art of the author’s own trauma. It’s horrific, yes, but it’s not an uwu “horror blockbuster” made to entertain. It’s made to inform and educate.
It’s not even a fictional manga at that! It’s an educational manga about a real tragedy and was mainly autobiographical.
It’s really tone deaf and insensitive to include that in this list but go off.
