One thing that particularly really pisses me off about north american colonialism is people's adamant refusal to either recognize or admit that indigenous genocide is still a very real and active thing going on. And I know this stems from the fact that people only view genocide as just mass killings of people (which is also still happening its just more covert than you think) but its also a separation, assimilation, and destruction of a peoples/culture.
in the US alone we make up less than like 2% of the entire fucking population, its basically impossible to be native unless you're mixed or inbred as fuck (which is part of why blood quantums are stupid), and despite this we still make up the majority of sexual violence and abduction victims. We are STILL dying, we are STILL being murdered and erased and silenced and so many other fucking things but trust me guys everything's fine now because some shitty corporate did a recognition of the land post before violating government contracts and building another oil line through indigenous lands.
And on that note a lot of you need to learn what cultural appropriation actually is and the damage it does beyond just "white people claiming ethnic thing".
you guys remember when I said white people didn't care about any of this until it started impacting them and that they would continue not to care until things like this happened and everyone was in my notes ripping me apart saying they Always cared. it is just crazy to me that as tragic as these deaths are and that we should be talking about them ICE has been doing this to latinos and native americans since their inception and this has never been seen as astonishing and shocking as this when it absolutely should've been.
like again I'm beyond glad something is causing this big scale reaction. and I'm not talking about the people in minnesota who are doing everything they can to protect each other. but it's so fucking bizarre to me to see everyone wake up and go "wait...... ICE killed people?" like what the fuck did you think ICE was doing before? passing out candy?
ignoring the actual queer couple in the show but focusing on the non canon bland gay ship between two white men…okay
Let's play a game. In front of you are three characters, all whom have overlapping and comperable levels of trauma. All of these people are currently experiencing a very hard day, and their mental health is suffering. Read the charts below on how what their trauma is, and how they react to it.
One character(Robby) is taking out his trauma on the other two people who have similar trauma, unable to empathize with their experiences. He specifically directs his traumatic experiences towards them, women of colour who have been treated like this all their life, adding to their existing racial trauma. Whenever they react to their own trauma, they get yelled at, disrespected, undermined, and the behavior is used by Robby to prove that they don't belong in this workplace.
You, the viewer. Get to decide who's mental health you prioritise. Is it the women who are continuously mistreated and don't get to react to their trauma, always having to behave well because they -as women of colour- have internalised that they can never react to trauma in a substantial way. Or is it the white man, with a lot of power in this workplace, who reacts to his trauma by disrespecting the marginalised women around him?
Now that you have made your decision. What is you reaction when people, mostly made up of women(of colour)who can see themselves in these two female characters, empathise with Samira and Al Hashimi more than Robby. That they are angry at him for being able to direct his trauma in such a racist and misogynistic way, while their mental health is ignored? Do you support them, and try to understand their experiences? Or do you tell those viewers that they have no empathy for mental illness, simply because they hate the man who actively harms people that look just like them.
Last question. If you specifically relate to Robby for displaying mental health in an unpleasant manner, because you have displayed that behavior before and have received scrutiny for it. Do you agree that overexplaining and justifying this behavior to make it look more acceptable is not at all productive to the recovery of a severely mentally ill person? Do you agree that allowing and justifying it just furthers it? Do you agree that the mental health of the people around him, especially those with comperable trauma, should be held in the same regard as his?
If you agree, can you accept that the marginalised women who have been disrespected by white men all their lives, who are watching this show and get reminded of that trauma, get to be angry and hate Robby? Can you accept that mental illness in women (of colour) gets ignored and scrutinized, while white men get to react however they want to their trauma? And that it hurts to see the fandom adopt these same patterns; furthering these viewers' hate towards Robby and the people who overexplain and try to justify his actions? Can you accept that Robby is fictional, but your polarising treatment of mental illness in white men/brown women is glaringly real?

Emma Nolan is not Hispanic, she’s a francophone.
Her actress, Laëtitia (Leh-tea-see-a) Hollard is a from Guadeloupe and identifies as Afro-Caribbean. Guadeloupe is a French creole speaking country in the Lesser Antilles islands of the Caribbean.
When Emma is speaking french with Princess in episode 1 it’s not because Emma took French throughout high school and college, it’s because that’s the language she speaks at home with her family. Laëtitia has said in interviews that her background of growing up Caribbean in Wisconsin deeply influences the story we get with Emma Nolan.
So please let’s do some research before people just go erasing a Black Caribbean woman’s Creole identity when y’all write her.
I’m from Saint Lucia myself, and being an Afro-Caribbean Creole woman as well I feel very protective of her identity in this fandom.
I know many have never even heard of Black Francophones or Creole people in the Caribbean outside of Haiti but trust me there’s a lot of us, you just have to look.
We can have the discussion about whether or not people consider Francophones Latinas another day
**sorry for any grammatical errors**

Please let Boots gather a fandom. I need fics on this show. About all of the characters. Maybe especially Sullivan, but all the others too.
Hell, even the background characters are good and interesting in this.
A show with goddamn nuance.
Please somebody fill the AO3, before my brain forces me to write a character study about Sullivan myself.
Can I just say, black ops 6 has given us everything we've ever wanted.
Actual gameplay of a cod squad living together and signs of domesticity between them.
Spoilers I think?
Not a humble brag post but I SWEAR once you find something that works for you shifting is a breeze.
❝ WELCOME TO THE LOOP! ❞ I am romeo. 20. all pronouns. a shifter, a dreamer, a wanderer through stories and whispers. this space is my quiet, my journal, my little lantern in the fog. here, it’s safe to pause, to feel, to be.

✨ ┊ HERE ARE MY DESIRED REALITIES ┊ ✨ these are the worlds I carry with me, the places I drift to when my mind wanders, the stories, songs, and sparks that call me home. step softly, each one has its own rhythm, its own light.
HOURGLASS DR ❝NEED MORE TIME? FLIP IT!❞ Hourglass is a 4-member K-pop girl group often described as “four girls who are stuck in a time loop.” Behind their sharp performances and ethereal concepts lies a story of self-growth: each member carries her own lesson to learn, a reminder that even idols face struggles, doubts, and heartbreaks. Through music, they show that it’s okay to stumble, to feel lost, and to be human, because healing comes in cycles, and every loop can be broken. Their artistry weaves together haunting storytelling and raw emotion, giving fans, known as Urloops, both comfort and courage as they navigate their own journeys. Some fans joke this group is just therapy in disguise. However, today we’re focusing on Sapphire Kingsley, Hourglass’ main dancer, lead vocalist, and playful spark. Known for her bright energy and quirky habit of mimicking others’ mannerisms without realizing it, she balances her lighthearted charm with surprising depth. Sapphire often opens up to fans about Greek mythology, gemstones, and the weight of learning to let go of burdens that were never hers to carry. Her lesson in the loop is about realizing she doesn’t have to fix everything, or everyone, to deserve love. Both vulnerable and vibrant, she reminds Urloops that it’s okay to release what isn’t meant for you and still shine.
9-1-1 DR ❝ASHES DON'T SCARE ME, BUT REGRET DOES.❞ Theodore Hawksley, often called Hawks by his crew, isn’t the kind of firefighter people expect to find at Station 118. Raised in a world of polished country clubs, private schools, and family expectations, his life was already mapped out for him: take over the Hawksley business empire. But the boardroom never lit a fire in him the way saving lives did. Walking away from wealth wasn’t easy, especially with parents who still remind him at every turn that he “threw away” a legacy, but Hawks refuses to see it that way. At the 118, he’s found something money couldn’t buy: belonging. Hawks is quick with a joke, not because he doesn’t take things seriously, but because he knows how much his team needs levity in the darkest moments. His humor and optimism balance the chaos of the job, while his courage proves he was never afraid to trade luxury for meaning. For Hawks, the firehouse isn’t just work, it’s home, family, and the life he chose for himself.

✴︎ this is a no-drama space. don’t bring unnecessary conflict or arguments to my timeline, i’m here to shift, create, and wander through stories. serious talk is fine, but petty bullshit will be ignored.
✴︎ be kind, respectful, and mindful of others’ journeys. unkindness, harassment, or invalidation of shifting experiences will not be tolerated.
✴︎ dni is a standard one: anti-shifters, race-changers, any form of harassment or bigotry, some same s/os, and anything else that doesn’t vibe with a safe, creative space. updates may come as needed.

Okay the pity party stops rn. Pick a hobby and every time you have a "I wish I was in my dr :(" moment you either have to shift or do the hobby. No more crying, no more doom scrolling. Either solve the problem or sublimate those emotions into something productive AND it will make you feel better. If it isn't fun then switch the hobby, please reconnect with yourself
I'll probably choose writing (or even learn how to make songs...) but I might change it later. I'm tired of my only hobby being shifting when I don't even stick to it

for the longest time i always thought shifting was supposed to feel like something grand. as if the world around me was going to shake, and i would see a white light, and open my eyes and see my dr. when in actuality, it feels like nothing. in fact, the first time i ever shifted, i didn’t even realise i had shifted until i saw someone i scripted in and i started freaking out major.
it’s still very surreal and amazing, but the actual process isn’t anything special. this is your sign to stop worrying about the how because there is no how, it just happens.
you’re not scripting, you’re remembering
you’re not learning, you’re remembering
you’re not daydreaming, you’re remembering
you’re not thinking, you're remembering
you’re not manifesting, you’re remembering
you are not shifting—you are remembering
