There were times when I genuinely thought this day would never come and it's already been over a week since lol. I moved 500 miles away from home after high school and took a year and a half off. 4 jobs, 2 more long distance moves, started my own business, and everything else in between and we got it done. And this credential can never be questioned or taken from me. I appreciate everyone's support along the way, some pictured here and some not. It was this one's birthday this past weekend. I'm sitting on my couch, recovering from having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, after he woke up at 6am yesterday to drive me there and back and took care of me (even with finals coming up 😅) so I think it's obvious that I'm so happy and blessed that this guy was born. A lot of people talk about 2017 not being a good year or this or that. I can definitively say that, for me, the first half of 2017 absolutely SUCKED and the other half was incredible. Those other memories are completely in the dust and now I have all of the good ones to keep and build on. In 2017, new bonds were made while existing ones only grew stronger. #ThrowbackThursday to my first 6 months lifting vs exactly 3 years later 😁 it's crazy how you won't think much has changed until you compare pics. I get asked what I do for my legs a lot and I always say I just lift heavy. That's it. I don't care how much frequency you have- the largest muscle groups on your body demand a lot to grow. I'm sure the growth would be even more if I did glute kickbacks and all'at but that's just not my main focus anymore. I used to be the type of person that would fall down and completely fall apart. I would tell you everything is terrible, talk down on myself, and let it ruin my day or even days. Hell, that was me just a couple months ago. Now when I get knocked down or hit an obstacle, I immediately think of solutions. I've come such a long way in the past year and I am so proud of the woman I've become and am continuously improving on. For the first time in over 20 years I'm actually starting to love myself and it feels damn good. And I'm thankful for all the support I've received over the past few years. So I've hit a bit of snag, which I have a habit of hitting from time to time 😅 But I'm smiling because it's given me an opportunity to redirect myself.
