lol feel free to ignore this, but if you had to be unwound would you rather have it done at a normal harvest camp or aboard the Lady Lucrezia under Divan. Bc as awful and repulsive Divan is, his state of the art tech does make for a quickened and painless procedure. Iโd love to hear your thoughts on whatโs the lesser of two very awful evils!!
Oh man, thats a difficult one. I can definitely see the perks of both, and the downsides too. At least harvest camps prepare you for what's about to happen, whereas with UNIS and the Lady Lucrezia you dont know until youre actually on the conveyor belt about to be unwound. But, as you said, the procedure is short with Divan, and relatively easy (at least, easier than the 1.5 ish hours it takes at a harvest camp).
Honestly, I think id much rather take on UNIS rather than be humiliated in (and on the way to) a harvest camp . The psychological aspect of being at a harvest camp would probably send me over the edge, and id definitely be freaking out about being unwound the entire time. Id absolutely hate being watched 24/7 and being scheduled times to play sports and do other stuff like that to find out who to give my parts to ๐ญ๐ญ.
On the Lady Lucrezia, the unwinds are kinda asleep, so there's no room to panic or anything, and the shock only comes when there's nothing you can do about it, which is horrific, but I think I'd much rather that than the impending doom of a harvest camp. I think that knowing youre about to be unwound for DAYS before it actually happens is absolute torture, and at least with Divan's harvest camp, there's none of that.
I feel like I'd much rather a human-less unwinding anyways, if that makes sense. I dont want to be reminded about the fact that this is a human-made procedure while im currently being taken apart by people who can just go home after this like nothing happened, yknow? That part is pretty cruel too.
Of course, both are absolutely TERRIBLE options, and I feel like the robotic aspects of UNIS would be horrifying, but in all, I believe that it would be better. The actual procedure is shorter, so technically there's less suffering with the long ass wait, and less impending terror too, so less psychological torture. So, Id definitely rather UNIS than the actual harvest camps.
Plus, with UNIS, you get to listen to music and I'd sure as hell be blasting The Downward Spiral while they take me apart.
