Vanilla Extract Cookie! The Preacher of Sweet Lies, and our Beast of Deceit for the AU!

After his corruption as the Saint of Knowledge, Vanilla Orchid Cookie found not a distaste for Cookiekind, but a twisted possession for anyone who continued to believe in him. That was how he started his Order, [the name has yet to be decided I don’t remember what I named it], a safe haven for any wayward Cookies who wanted a reprieve from the harsh reality of the world. He’d answer any of his subjects worries, remedy them just as they wanted, and somehow continued to find new ways to satisfy their growing wants for more comfort or luxury. The only thing he ever reminded them was that they could never leave the Order, not without sacrificing their livelihoods, their relationships, everything for being shunned. He constantly reminded them in his frequent sermons, in the Temple of Deceit, that rejecting his comforting Deceit would be rejecting salvation itself.

He has a total of five minions! Apatite Cookie, Malic Acid Cookie, Beeswax Cookie, Moravian Spice Cookie, and Melted Candy Cookie! Each has their own job and place as his most trusted disciples, earning their special attention that almost feels parental. Even Melted Candy, a younger dough who… doesn’t actually do much, due to her melted chocolate brain that leaves her very confused most of the time, earns Vanilla Extract’s explicit protection from the rest of the convent, who don’t really find her tolerable.

(All of his minions are OC’s made by my friends, I was stuck on who would be his minions and ended up pseudo-indoctrinating my friends into the cult via new Cookies. If I get permission I’ll start posting them and getting them introduced separately, all of my babies are precious and all of them will have a role in the main story!!)

The general idea is just a typical Beast Ancient Swap Au, they swap places so the Ancients were the Virtues and so forth, I don’t know if that needs much explaining. HOWEVER, I am operating under a butterfly effect idea, as I believe the Ancients personalities would have led to very different outcomes. Pure Vanilla would have corrupted second, following White Lily, but also would have been the last to go the full mile. Dark Cacao would have been the last to corrupt, being as stubborn as he is, but he probably would have been the quickest to do a full 180 aside from maybe Golden Cheese. In this AU, White Lily comes to her senses at the very end, seeing Pure Vanilla start to go fully dark side, and realizes that her pushing for a ‘better world’ through this method was only leading to ruin. So, with Elder Faerie (he’s gonna be mostly the same in this AU I don’t think the Ancients being the Virtues would change much about the Faeries), she seals herself and the rest of the Virtues in the Silver Tree.

So far I’m still working on designs for the rest of the Soul Jam pairs, I currently have PV and SM, ES and HB, and MF and DC. I do also have Golden Cheese but I don’t have Burning Spice yet, I only have the basic clothing concept. I’m writing a fic to go with this, which is going to be the main big project, and is going to be going through the events of Beast Yeast with the swaps. I’m aiming for it to not feel like a basic rewrite with characters changed around, which is why it’s been… a year with nothing written it’s kind of pathetic how little I have. While Swap SM, who’s named Blueberry Milkshake, is going to have a corruption and awakening arc similar to PVC, I’m going to try and make the circumstances different.

I’m going to start posting the designs slowly, though it’s probably going to be obvious that I’ve put a lot more focus into developing PV and SM at the moment (they even have a kid thanks to Tomodachi Life), there’s even multiple OC’s because Swap PV has a whole cult and that’s what most of his side will be focused on. Serial adopter has like 7 named minions.

Theres a lot more lore I have but I think I’ll start introducing it in separate posts so it’s not just a huge post of words.

Uh I write Cookie Run Kingdom for the most part, TruthlessSage one shots right now but I’m also working on a pretty extensive Beast Ancient swap au, mainly focused on PV and SM though, and it’s gonna be essentially a rewrite of Beast Yeast 7-8, but not like just the same events with swapped characters, I’m focusing on like, everything that would butterfly effect change because of the personalities. So, hopefully, it doesn’t just feel like a reiteration of the same story we’ve already been through. Oh and I have a modern boba cafe au I’m working on because of a stupid joke me and my friend made, so that’ll show up at some point
