The cold breeze of the pink dawn sends a shiver down Nami’s spine, she had woken up early and was unable to go back to sleep for unfortunate reasons. She lays on a long chair at the lawn of the Sunny, staring at the sky with visible stars as the sun begins to slowly rise. The door opens alerting her of someone else waking up, she looks towards the person and spots Luffy rubbing his eye with the back of his fisted hand. A gentle smile on her lips watching him grin at her the moment he notices her on the chair. Luffy walks down the stair hurrying towards her, he lays down on top of her body immediately wrapping his stretchy arms around her. Their legs are tangled with each other and his head rests on her chest, she giggles at him and moves her hands to play with his messy bed hair. Twisting and twirling the soft black locks between her fingers and massaging his head making him sigh at the sweet sensation.
The thumping sound of her heartbeat makes him freeze for a moment before he relaxes. He presses his ear further into her chest with a grin curled on his face. “Nami your heartbeat makes me more sleepy.” He closes his eyes listening to the sound. Her heart skips a beat feeling flustered for a second, her hand clutches his hair then loosening her grip while calming herself down silently. Luff giggles to himself, focusing on her heartbeat going back to normal and her fingers caressing his hair gently brushing down to his neck. His eyes fluttering shut at the sensation. Luffy moves his hand to her tattooed bicep and starts caressing it softly, she feels herself relaxing under his touch and fatigue washes over her. She closes her eyes falling asleep immediately with him already snoring with his ear stuck to her chest. The sound of her heartbeat had the same effect as brook’s lullaby on the young captain.
