First of all, the Lance-Pony thing is probably the explanation of how he got to Japan, similar to how he traveled to the Garrison from Cuba.

For the voltronification of bnha, I'd like to think that they aren't actually the first generation of Paladins, it's more of an OFA situation where there are multiple generations that had protected the universe before them. And they have to train and prove themselves to get the opportunity to try to bond with a lion, in a much more structured environment. Something a little more Post-Canon Voltron.

I haven't thought of a half-galra Shoto before, but it makes so much sense that it is canon now.

Like, the generation before them were Black: All Might, Red: Endeavor, Green: Sir Nighteye, Blue: Mr Jeanist, Yellow: Fat Gum.

So Enji wasn't exactly happy being "just" a Red Paladin either, thus he did some research and found out that Black has a liking for galrans. Touya didn't inherit any visible galra trait, so he had Fuyumi and then Natsuo. Neither of them really cared about training as a Paladin (lol), so Enji had Shoto as his last chance. Instead of a burn mark, he had a very distinct purple marking and half a head of white hair, just as expected.

By the time Shoto got chosen as the Blue Paladin, Touya had been a runaway for years. Enji got the press to think he was kidnapped or something, but with the debut of the League (as a rogue galran loyalist group probably) and the apparition of a half-human, half-galran psychopath... it's not very believable anymore.

Here's some lore on each one:

(For context the Bnha!Paladin formation was Black: Midoriya, Red: Bakugou, Blue: Todoroki, Green: Iida and Yellow: Kirishima, then it became Black: Bakugou, Red: Kirishima, Blue: Todoroki, Green: Iida and Yellow: Uraraka)

Bakugou: At first, he was so pissed about being "only" the Red Paladin, he would blow up at little things the team did and generally be a very uncourteous person to be around, it got to the point that he would not follow a single order Midoriya gave. Thankfully, Kirishima got him to finally get over himself and work with Deku as his right-hand man. Bakugou would deny it, but he had grown to trust and rely on Deku to the point of not really knowing what to do after his disappearance. After stepping up as Black Paladin, Bakugou found out he actually really liked being a decent leader, so he never gave the mantle back once Deku came home. LMAO

Kirishima: He did not feel deserving of being a Paladin for a loooong time, thinking he was too much of a coward to be any useful as a Paladin. It wasn't till he got fed up with Bakugou's temperament and told him off that he considered himself manly enough to face off the evil in the universe (he actually pats himself on the back every now and then for it, when the topic is brought up, the dude is NOT shy of taking credit). With Deku's disappearance and Bakugou's reluctance to step up, he appointed himself as his "unbreakable horse (lion?)" and thus became the Red Paladin. As to accept the change and embrace his new position, he dyed his hair the color of his lion. Red loved it. Of course, he never gave up the position either.

Lance: Ever since he could remember, he dreamed of becoming a hero, but never really put any faith in himself as he considered his quirk a really weak and boring one. After failing to help some of his peers back in middle school, he snapped out of his helplessness and actually started training. He even got 2nd place in the UA entrance exam!!! Then he got put in the B class... which is not actually bad, but come on, that's the (b)oring class. Luckily, he could transfer before he gets forgotten by the public. Now in 1A, he can take as much spotlight as he pleases. Unfortunately, he gets put in very dangerous situations, where he's got to save a very angry Mullet from a very dangerous Villain League, because he's a hero and a gentleman, not other reasons.
