Living Life to the Fullest

“I don’t know.” The blonde replied shrugging. “I’m too drunk right now, so things are not doing any sense. I want another drink, do you want one?”

“At least you have that excuse, I’m sober and at least as confused as you.  Sure why not?”

“I see.”

“...I’m screwing things up again aren’t I?”

“Well you were the one who asked for hearts and flowers last time, I don’t know what you want anymore, a clue might be good now.”

“Sometimes but I... it’s complicated, I’m not quite sure what I want.  I take that back I want myself to stop talking and making this worse.”

“I was only answering you Axel. “

“...Oh, well I... I guess that’s - I’m just not used to this kind of stuff.”

Arden stared at him, cooking her head to one side, scrutinizing the man in front of her as she let go of his hands. “I see you didn’t like it. Any of it, I can come back tomorrow if you prefer this way.”

“I never said I didn’t like it.  Your comment that I treat you like a doll shows that you dislike it more than anything I said but fine if that’s what you want to do.” Axel nodded sighing and not fighting her or trying to hold her hand again.

The blonde furrowed her eyebrows at his question, considering for a moment, running back and forth between the thought of letting go of his hand. “Since you started to treat me like a doll.” The blonde replied simply, shrugging as if the answer was obvious. “I might be.”

“I don’t treat you like a doll,” Axel responded shaking his head.  “Yeah might be,” he repeated rolling his eyes.

“A moment of tenderness togetherness that could produce sugar.” Arden replied seriously looking at him square on the face, trying to hold that serious expression but miserably failing by gigling.

“...Right but since when have we ever been tender and sweet?  Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing, just a bit odd.”  Axel responded looking up from their joined hands and chuckling when he saw her smile.  “You’re drunk aren’t you?”

“Tried that, and I looked like a bird.”

“What?  How is that possible?”

“It looks good I just–Everything’s sort of been making me sick lately.”

“Well you still need to eat something.  What about crackers?  That shouldn’t make you sick.”

“I’m fine..thanks.”

“Really?  Are you sure?  I wouldn’t consider this fine.  I think you might be missing out.”
