It does, but at the same time at least it’s still going even after whatever election may have happened was over. That’s good. I’m surprised too. I honestly think some big wig here in Gotham orchestrated it for a political campaign and just hide behind that cause. But either way it’s seemed to help a lot of people out. Well if crime doesn’t bother you, then I would definitely recommend coming and taking a look. Gotham is honestly stupendous, it’s one of those places that is dark and gloomy looking at first. But then when you take a second and you just sort of look up it’s breathtaking. At least in my opinion it is.

Well that's awesome. I gotta say I'm surprised a place like that exists. Heh I would move, but I'd miss my neighborhood. And my apartment. But I suppose I'll have to visit more often! Crime don't bother me. That's what I got my bow and my fists for.

As far as you have to? Well, if that’s the case then there’s one here in Gotham. I see it on my way to Arkham everyday, and from what I hear their prices are lower to accommodate to those of lower income.

I live in Metropolis, but I'll go as far as I have to. Can't afford the only ones I know of.

It was a particular kind of connection Clint and her had and Helena preferred it that way. She didn’t need to tell him which bow she preferred - he simply knew and that kind of connection was exactly the type Helena needed. She’d been burdened with a history that required a lot of explanation with every new person she would meet, simply because they wouldn’t comprehend her way of dealing with things. Clint wasn’t like those people — he hadn’t asked questions, not before and not now, and not because he didn’t care. Perhaps he could sense that she didn’t want to divulge into her past much — perhaps he was the same and figured if he didn’t ask about her, she didn’t ask about him. Whatever the situation turned out to be, Helena was grateful for the way he treated her. She took the bow from his hands and balanced it in her own, breathing in briefly before tightening her grip around the material. A sly smile played at her lips as she retrieved some arrows to fill her quiver with, hearing her friend played ignorant at her question. They both were well aware of Clint’s feelings for one certain Natalia, and Helena was quite sure she was one of the very few to which Clint would actually be honest to in regards to this. He was a private man, as Helena was a private woman, but she knew more than the average person in his life. Instead of dawdling any longer, she took the correct stance as she readied an arrow on the bow and pulled back, feeling the tension in her arms. “The day you admit to it will be the day I put the bow and arrow down,” she answered sarcastically and she breathed in, firing a practice shot across the range and into the target in the distance. As she expected, it was not a perfect clear shot. She was good at the bow and arrow — Clint was better. 

It was easy to keep his grin while he watched her collect some arrows to set in her quiver, despite the fact that he'd just completely lied about his feelings for Natalia. Perhaps he felt comfortable in the lie because both he and Helena knew the truth, or because he knew he'd never be able to be truthful about it to the one that really mattered, given that nothing between them could ever happen. And of course Lena called him on it. He watched carefully as she lined up the first arrow, pulling back on the bow, noting what she was doing right, and what needed work. Clint raised an eyebrow at he words. "Please. You're an addict like me. You'll never put them down. Though," he mused, "perhaps you have a point. If I did have a thing for whichver lady you're speaking of, I'm pretty sure she'd never return that." He spoke as he watched her fire, hitting the target, but not exactly at the center. Still. Plenty of folks couldn't even hit the target. He stepped closer to her. "You put too much of it in your arms. Remember to pull with your back muscles. The arms should only guide your aim." Technically this wasn't a lesson, they were just shooting around, but Clint could hardly pass up an oppurtunity to give a few tips, and he knew she was always interested in improving. "Try again," he instructed, leaning back against the range's wall.

Grinning at his words, she offered him a friendly roll of the eyes, tucking both her hands to either of her back pockets. She stepped closer to the weapons on display hanging by delicate-looking nails on the wall, right thumb placidly tapping against her jeans. "No offense, but I’m pretty good at reading people," she called out, walking alongside the wall, still eyeing the weapons. "And you look spoken for." She furrowed her brows, smiled. "Or gone on. Either way, there’s a lady in your life already, you don’t need any more attention than you’re getting." She teased, then her eyes snapped back to the weapon he caught her eyeing when she’d first entered the store. She nodded, walked back towards the counter. "I’ve never actually —" She gestured towards the bow. “Handled any weapon. Nothing more extreme than what I could find lying around while attempting to be mugged, that is.” She half-joked, mind wandering momentarily to the time in Mexico where she’d slammed a man’s nose in with a trash bin’s top. “But if you think I could, then by all means,” She let her hands out of her back pockets, held them up in a surrendering gesture. “Teach me what you can.”

Clint watched her as she looked further at some of the bows and other assorted weapons that hung from the walls in the shop. She was becoming more and more attractive by the minute. He raised an eyebrow when she claimed that he looked as if he already had a girlfriend of some type. Hardly. There was Natalia, of course. There was always Natalia, but she was far too good for him, and he doubted she would be willing to see him that way even if he tried to get her to. "Naww, girl," he protested. "I ain't got no one. Just me an' Lucky! Most ladies have the common sense to run the other way. That's why I gotta resort to such sordid means as holding attractive women hostage." He gave her his cheekiest grin as he said it, moving over to gently lift the bow from the wall. "Ahh don't worry about it, doll. That's why I offered to teach you. You get mugged a lot?" he asked as he motioned her to follow him back to the range, which lay just through a pair of doors just behind the shop. Clint had been mugged his fair share of times, but he tended to attract trouble, and he could handle it well enough, even if he ocassionallyended up with a few cuts or bruises or broken noses. He didn't wait for her to answer, instead thrusting the bow into her hands an grabbing several of the practice arrows to put into the quiver in front of one of the lanes. "You may never have used one before, but I tell you what, I'll teach you the technique, and when you land a hit on target, Ill give you the directions." He smiled again, and motioned to the lane he'd set up. "Here. Don't touch the arrows yet. Just show me how you might point the bow."

"Sounds like a useful skill." And it did. He could see how it might help with aim of any kind, too. It’d be good practice. And he had all the time in the world for it. Still, firearms were what he’d been looking for. Steve didn’t particularly like guns. They existed, and he could see their use, but he’d never seen them as the sort of weapon he’d use unless he had to. They brought death too quickly and readily. Bows seemed to fit into the same category. Both were things he could use a little more practice with. Not that he’d ever practiced with a bow in his life, of course, but… "So you think you could teach me? Just the basics? I need to work on my aim."

"Plenty useful to me at least. Plenty of folks seem to think they're superior for choosing guns instead of bows." He shrugged then. "Bows work better for me. Like he said, I never miss." He looked the man up and down, and found himself raising his eyebrows. This guy could send an arrown sailing pretty damn far if he wanted to. He'd certainly be strong enough to string some of the more difficult bows. Clint nodded at him. "Lessons aren't free, but I'm happy to give you some. I can guarantee your aim will improve. What's your name?"
