Oh, Mirel... Why do you always try to be better than before? You know that Vil is forever going to outshine you. Just settle for being his resentful shadow, why keep trying to do anything else?
Found a base on Pinterest that reminded me of him. A small rant of my thoughts while drawing this;
-If if wasn't because of the soft spotlight, you wouldn't notice his tear.
-The spotlight is JUST besides him, not exactly in front of him; because he can never be the center of attention, just try to be.
-His eyes are dull, yet focused on something. Because no matter how much it pains him, he had already understood that he will never be good enough, never the son his parents wanted. Not with Vil outshining him.
-The red petunias symbolize not only his anger, but also his resentment. The ones that are far from him are for his family and friends, who even if they don't mean to be rude, still compare him to Vil. The ones close to his eye (covering it) is for how the hatred he has for himself and the one in his mouth is for the rage he feels with every harsh word.
-The white tulip, ironically, is for the pang he feels after he realized how harsh he was towards Vil. How his own jealousy and anger tore him apart from even himself.
A normal night in pomefiore when you're out of your room past curfew...
Mirel doesn't stay up a lot because he's frightened of Rook. Man doesn't give a damn about overblots, but the vice-housewarden scares him into obeying rules with ease even when he tends to manipulate situations to his favor.
Meet Mirel, Vil's younger brother. He tries with ALL he has so people don't discover that he's quite much related to him... But it doesn't really work all the time, especially not with a certain someone (Rook) telling on him being in pomefiore to Vil.
Although he's considered to be more goodlooking than average, he's nowhere near Vil, and sucks at acting elegant. Thanks to this, their father never payed him much attention while growing up, since the older one was the prodigy. Which yeah, it made Mirel resent his brother a LOT. He even used his UM to investigate everything that Vil hid and planned to expose it to the public... Luckily he realized that he was being cruel and unnecessarily petty, so he deleted everything he learnt and just took his distance.
After this long ramble, you might ask yourself; but ABC, if Mirel doesn't like Vil at all... Why is he still in pomefiore? And I'll answer; there's one single person to blame,
His name is, funny enough, Mirrow-cruel. And of course, his UM is based off said mirror, which is how he got all that info from Vil. He's lowkey a menace.
Even if Mirel could even try and expose everything about Rook in minutes that's to his UM, he's too scared of him to even TRY. And he tested that whenever in pomefiore, the hunter approaches him fewer times. So yeah, he's basically using the dorm as a "shield". They've spoken little to no times, and that's because Mirel always finds an excuse to run before Rook can approach him.
