What is a King to a God? (King Kong Vs Godzilla short scene)
Nobody is probably going to see this but here is a little scene I wrote of a matchup between Godzilla and Kong done in a way that (hopefully) hasn't been done before by other people.
Without further ado, here it is:
Godzilla lunges toward Kong with a outstretched claw, talons aimed for the centre of mass of the ape's abdomen, Kong dodges, narrowly avoiding the strike and immediately counterstrikes; he locks his dexterous appendages around the narrow wrist of the reptilian menace, and with a single bone snapping twist breaks the arm of Godzilla. Who howls in agony as Kong bents Godzilla's elbow down, and before he had a chance to retaliate the great ape tugs it aggressively, the sound of crunching bone and twisting flesh mixing in together with the roars of pain, defiance and hatred for the other before Kong tears it off with a violent yanking motion. The pain of having his arm torn off was devastating to the Monster King, but nearly as much as it was to his egoβ¦ How dare this ape tear his arm from its joint. The pain passed quickly and soon Godzilla felt reinvigorated, the searing gaping wound where his left arm was disappearing and replaced with the burning impulse to killβ¦
Godzilla unhinged his maw and leapt towards Kong in a thunderous bound, his enormous jaws finding purchase on the section bordering Kong's broad shoulder and neck, biting down hard to cause the ape to let out a startled angry yowl as the two came tumbling down into the earth, which became splattered with chunks of meat, puddles of blood as the two became a tornado of fur and scale, kicking up dust from the moist dirt as the two began to engage in a bloody grapple for survival. The two titans rolled around through the dirt, the ground becoming displaced underneath their combined weight as they attempted to pin the other to the earth. Kong tried to scratch at the hide of the beast, but his nails drew no blood from his interlocking osteoderms. It was like trying to peel open the bark of a tree, no matter how much Kong dug his nails into Godzilla he could not burrow his hands into his flesh like Godzilla could. Godzilla's mouth remained firmly clamped on the ape's body, refusing to let go. Kong unhinged his mouth and dug his sharp canines into the neck of the lizard, causing Godzilla to groan in pain and fury and only made him press down harder. And so the two began a death spiralling roll as the two continued to tumble down the mountainside, rocks dislodging as the earth shuddered under the clash of these colossal beasts.
After spiralling for what felt like forever, the two finally crashed down into the ground and in that crash Kong was able to finally dislodge Godzilla with both the force of the crash together with a powerful push with his lower body. Godzilla stumbled across the ground, thrashing and gnashing as he attempted to regain his footing, his eyes red from the dust being kicked up into his sockets and a manifestation of his rage. Kong rose to his feet, hand pressed against his bloodied wound as he saw Godzilla continue to spasm on the ground, his eyes drifting over to a nearby boulder. A flash of intuition comes into the ape's eyes, as his eyes dart back to Godzilla as he staggers to regain his footing. Kong makes a desperate dash for the boulder, picking it up with one hand and barrelling down on Godzilla and pummeling the stone into Godzilla's head. The first couple of blows don't draw blood, but as Kong continued to ram the stone against the stocky round head of the monster king blood began to be drawn, and the right flank of his face began to become bloody and broken with each hit. Godzilla was losing consciousness and yet he refused to back down, he tried to fire his atomic breath, but Kong grabbed a tree and shoved it down his throat causing Godzilla to violently gag before coughing the tree out with spittle of saliva and blood mixing into each other. Kong continued to slam the boulder against his head, the thuds becoming more sickening with each strike, Godzilla tried to wiggle free but the ape had him firmly pinned against the ground as he continued to beat him with the bloodied rock with both hands now. Kong lifted the boulder above his head and with a thunderous roar brought the boulder caving into his skull, breaking it completely. Godzilla's body became still, no other signs of life remained except for his laboured breathing and his heaving chest. Kong stared down at the broken visage of his vanquished opponent, his own chest and breathing heavy with exhaustion. He leaned down over the fallen body, removing the boulder from Godzilla's head, chunks of the monster's face had became embedded in the rock as much as the rock had embedded itself into his face. Godzilla moaned in defeat as the curious ape inspected his broken face. The blunt force from the rock had not only caved in the right half of his head, it had also dislocated his lower jaw in the process too. Kong grabbed Godzilla's lower jaw and fiddled with it for a moment, looking morbidly intrigued by the floppy jaw of the once powerful king of the monsters. Godzilla gave a half mumbling half gargling growl, but Kong did not feel threatened. He looked at Godzilla and gave something approaching a mocking chuckle which sounded more like a chortle. The ape bonked him on the head and that quickly silenced Godzilla. Kong looked around and beat his chest, once, twice with each hand caked in blood before erupting into a primal display of dominance, beating his chest in victory as he banged his fists against his pecs and roaring to let the world and especially Godzilla know that he would bow before no one. Kong stopped beating his chest as he left out a final huff of satisfaction, and began to amble away from the fallen body of Godzilla. He could now feel the dull sting of his wounds, realising just how injured he had become. Kong paused, reaching a finger and gently dabbing it against the wound along his shoulder, it stinged to touch it and caused him to bark in pain. He flexed his finger, looking at the blood on his finger as his eyes traced back to his wounds. He let out a low hiss of a sigh, before moving on. Deciding to make shelter on the mountain top to rest and recover. Then Kong paused as he heard shuffling behind him, his head turned over his shoulder as he looked back to the bloodied, battered remains of Godzilla. Who slowly came to his feetβ¦
Despite being badly ravaged and left in a state that would have left most other creatures to die, Godzilla rose, slowly as his back straighten with a low rumbling growl emanating deep from with his chest. Kong felt a chill run up his spine, his eyes widening with a mix of awe and disbelief. Godzilla's singular good eye locks with Kong's, beady yet razor focused. Godzilla's maw dripped with blood and saliva, the corners of shattered face slowly starting heal and his jaw clicking and cracking back into place, he opened and closed it experimentally as he licked his lips of blood and saliva. The stump of his arm slowly starting to grow back bone and flesh. Kong clutched at his wounds, realisation dawning as his wounds won't heal as quickly as his rival's.
