Meanwhile, Will had made-up words for things

The first time Mike heard one, he tried to correct Will, but Will just shook his head and repeated himself, and then it clicked for Mike, and he accepted it - he later made a list of all of Will’s words, and exclusively used them in conversation with him

Will felt really safe around Mike because of this, and he was also always so impressed by how well Mike spoke and wrote, so even though he had his own language for simple things, he was constantly working big words Mike knew into his conversations
