In life, it’s ok to be selfish sometimes. Sometimes it’s necessary. Honestly, anyone who doesn’t understand that you need to do certain things for yourself and your happiness to the point where they want to walk away from you, let them walk. A good support system will understand, and not make it about them. This one’s big with chronic illness especially. If you need a day to stay home and take care of yourself, then stay home. Made plans with a friend, but you feel like butt? It’s ok. Stay home, good friends understand. Even if it happens frequently. You have to do what’s best for you.
