| Undead and Gone |
Hyunwoo wasnât one to look for trouble. It was just unfortunate that trouble usually came looking for him. Like now. The moment his eyes blearily open, Hyunwoo knows somethingâs not entirely right. Heâs home, but that does little to comfort him. He can smell blood, blood that isnât his. But it didnât smell quite right. Pushing himself up onto all fours, Hyunwoo looks over to see a corpse, one that was already showing signs of decomposing, the flesh looking... wrong. Thereâs blackish blood leaking from obvious fang marks around the corpseâs throat. He wrinkles his nose and pulls a face, all of a sudden feeling an urge to gag.Â
Where did he even dig this body up from? He glanced at the clock; it had been a mere 6 hours since he had last been in human form, meaning the corpse had been dead when his hound had sunk its fangs into it. That was a relief, though it didnât make him want to gag less. It mustâve been some sort of lost soul that had somehow escaped the clutches of hell. Or maybe didnât make it there. Either way, it seemed as though his hound had taken care of the problem, and now he was left with a decomposing body in his apartment. Now what was he going to do...Â
Hyunwoo figures getting dressed and ready for the day would help at least a bit. Then heâd try to figure out a solution to the body in his living room. He takes a quick shower, making sure to brush his teeth furiously before slipping into clean clothes. Heâs confused though, when he walks back into the living room, that the body is just gone. Without a trace.Â
What. The. Hell.Â
Pulling on his shoes hurriedly, he bolts out the door, following the disgusting scent of rotting flesh.Â
| Intruder |
Hyunwoo isnât sure exactly what compels him to walk away from home after work. Curiosity, he decides. Itâs just that his curiosity got the better of him. Heâs seen Jeonghan head home; he knew the general direction. And after a bit of guessing and another bit of tracking, Hyunwoo ends up in front of a door that unmistakably has his co-workerâs scent behind the door. The lights are on inside, which probably means that the otherâs home already.Â
He hesitates by the front door, unsure if he should actually go through with his plan. He had wanted to talk to Jeonghan one on one. The other was a pleasant co-worker, if a bit mysterious. Despite having worked alongside the guy for about a year now, Hyunwoo knew very little about anything outside of Jeonghanâs work in the cafe. The other was very adept at avoiding questions about his background or anything personal, he had found. It wasnât very difficult to pinpoint. He did the same thing, but he would share tiny bits of his life here and there. That way people wouldnât be overly curious. Like he currently was.Â
Thereâs a quiet scuffle on the other side of the door that snaps him back to reality, and he knocks on the door three times. Itâs a firm, solid knock, loud enough for Jeonghan to hear. Itâs unfortunate then, that the person on the other side isnât who Hyunwoo is expecting. The smell gives it away before anything else. Thereâs a slight rush of air when the door opens, and it only takes a second for Hyunwoo to recognize that itâs not his co-worker.Â
The man looks guarded. Jeonghanâs never mentioned anything about a roommate, and Hyunwoo had always assumed that the guy had lived alone. Itâs dangerous to assume things, though, so he asks for good measure. âAre you Jeonghanâs roommate?â Thereâs a slight movement between the manâs eyes at Jeonghanâs name, almost a flinch, and he moves to close the door. Had Hyunwoo not had years of training, sharpened reflexes, and a suspicion that something might not be right, the door wouldâve slammed in his face.Â
As it happens, the door closes on his foot, and he forces his way inside. This guy wasnât supposed to be there, definitely. It doesnât take very long; the man doesnât seem to be too highly trained. One well aimed punch to the side of the manâs head, and the guy collapses on the ground. A quick scan of the room tells Hyunwoo that the stranger was definitely not a roommate. The place looks messy, almost ransacked, like the man had been looking for something. He wonders if this would be considered breaking and entering on his part, but at least he took care of an intruder. Perhaps that wouldnât be so... shocking to take in.Â

avtchan:
The species of houseplants that resided in his home varied though he did own quite a hearty collection of smaller succulents and cacti a like, all of which were placed happily in direct sunlight. âSucculents are very nice and easy to take care of as well.â He chirps out, the dog shifting around to curl up next to male as he continuously strokes her. Her head placed in his lap like before, Misty starts to lick Chanyeolâs other hand that laid motionless.Â
âYou should definitely look into it!â He encourages, tone bright and cheerful as ever. âIâI could even help you research them.. I-If youâd like I mean..â Smiling sheepishly, Chanyeolâs cheeks are flourished with a soft pink as he speaks, the male easily flustered. âThey come in so many colors, it would be too hard for me to decide on just one.â He muses, a small laughter following. Misty wags her tail at the laughter, the medium-sized dog gazing up at the taller affectionately.Â
Hyunwoo nods, contemplative. The other seemed to be very fond of house plants. Maybe it would be something good to try out. He could use some fabricated consistency in his life. It would be good to maintain consistency at his home and try something new outside rather than simply sticking to the same mundane schedule all the time.Â
âThat would be really nice of you, thanks,â he smiles. The dog is visibly much more relaxed, and Hyunwoo wonders whether he would be better off if Misty spent the rest of the day with Chanyeol instead. Maybe, but that would probably be asking too much of the other, and they had just met. As it was, he felt bad enough for taking up so much of the otherâs time, dogsitting a canine that didnât have anything to do with him anyways. âI donât want to intrude on your time,â he starts. Chanyeol obviously came to the park for something else anyways. âIf you stop by the coffee shop, I can get you your free drink. Iâm there most of the time anyways.âÂ
coffee shop soundtrack.
avtjjk:
he taps a rhythm on the counter. a continuous pattern of nerves as his teeth press into his lip, shifting from left and right before settling on the older. jeongguk takes in what the other says eagerly, nodding his head and humming. the question presented makes him pause, shifting in discomfort as he glances away. his tongue prods against the inside of his cheek.Â
he murmurs his thanks as he accepts his drink, humming as wraps his hands around the cup. he sips at it idly, flickering his eyes at the older, then dropping it. he wonders if he doesâ does jeongguk have anything planned out? the future? absolutely not. jeongguk lives day by day, especially with howâŚrisky itâs been going around as sonic. he knows he could be killed, knows he could be in loads of trouble once he eventually gets caught. what happens to mutants now-a-days that are caught? he doesnât know, and truth be told, he doesnât know if he really wants to know either.
âiââ he pauses, swallowing. âiâm not sure. i mean, i knowâŚi have my life figured out for the moment? but that all can change. easily, quicklyâ you know? itâsâŚliving is hard, hyung.â he sighs, tired eyes staring down at the counter. âi missâŚhow simple things were. i miss daybreak.â and he means it. daybreak was home, and despite how hard he works to attempt to make living okay now, nothing will change to how easy and happy he was months ago.Â
Thereâs obvious hesitation when he asks about how things are going for the other, and Hyunwoo holds back a grimace. Not everyone was as lucky as he had been, to land a stable job and a decent place to live. But the question was out there and he couldnât exactly take it back, so he leaves it to hang there, concentrating on the task of making the drink.Â
He gets an answer though, which half surprises him. Shrugging, Hyunwoo cracks a small smile, âThings were definitely easier there,â he agrees. Being at Daybreak had changed him, probably for the better. And despite how mundane things were there, he sort of preferred it that way. He needed more peace in his life.Â
âItâs hard, but it seems like youâre pulling through,â He doesnât exactly know what to do to make the other feel a bit better. âOne day at a time. And if you ever need anything, you know where I work now. Iâll try to help you out.âÂ

Language of the Unheard | Solo
He hears the chaos before he sees any signs of it. Loud, angry voices reach his ears from down the street, and he starts from his blank daydreaming to look around. Things in the cafe are still peaceful and calm, but as the noises get louder, customers start looking around warily. It takes a moment for Hyunwoo to single out a couple of voices, and it takes him a few seconds to realize the cause of the fuss.Â
These sorts of demonstrations and clashes arenât out of the ordinary, but things are hardly ever this loud. He doesnât think of himself having a âsideâ. He used to be human, and now heâs a mutant. He doesnât really care what others do as long as he can keep to himself and live simply. He doesnât understand the conflict. So he stays out of it, and choose not to pick a side.Â
Thereâs a shot that rings out, and Hyunwoo tenses for a second before forcing himself to breathe deeply and steadily. When he gets back to reality, he can sense the tension in the cafe. People are fidgety, having perhaps heard the starts of panic. Two customers get up and head towards the door, and he forces himself to remember that heâs a cafe worker who has no place in this argument thatâs happening close by. Heâs a cafe worker and his responsibility is providing a good service to customers. So he robotically wishes them a good day as the door opens and closes.Â
There are a few more gunshots that sound, closer now, with screams following this time. Thereâs panic in the air, and Hyunwoo stands there conscious that his heart is hammering inside his chest. He becomes hyperaware of his body, of his hands and fingers, clenched around a metal bar behind the counter, of his feet, planted firmly on the ground, as though he can plant himself more deeply into the ground and that would keep him safe.Â
More people file out of the door, and heâs too wrapped in calming himself down to notice. By the time he looks back up from the cash again, the cafe is void of customers. Hyunwoo canât see any signs of conflict outside, but he can hear it. There are no more gunshots being fired, and that allows him a momentary breath of relief. Heâs still shaken, but heâll be damned if he lets it debilitate him. Heâll finish his shift and put away some time to change later that night to work out some of that negative energy.Â

Taking the steak he threw it across the room, not really knowing what he was trying to accomplish. At least if he moved it away from the stairs, he might have a brain blast, hopefully think of something within the next few seconds that can saw his and his hotels hide. If the beast followed the same principles as other animals, it should move towards the meat. If it didnât he was screwed.
There was a moment of pause, as though the guy was contemplating his next move. Then the second piece of raw meat was flung over to the other side of the room. Its eyes followed the piece of meat until it hit the ground. And then it was caught with the human on one side and the piece of meat on the other. He looked back at the human for a second, weighing its options.
It was rather curious about the human, but it ultimately decided to turn its back on the guy and pad towards the steak at the other side of the room, past all the weird animals that looked alive, but were definitely not. It was creepy, to be honest, like corpses were made to look as though they were living again and just stood in a room. But to each their own, it wasnât there to judge, just to hunt down lost souls.Â
It figured that the human looked scared enough that he wasnât going to try anything. And if he did, well, as a hellhound, it wasnât  as though it could die, per say. There wasnât all that much to lose.

gahyeonâs just a kidâ a kid with good grades, a somewhat decent brain, and a general understanding of how the world works. what she knows is that normally people donât stick their hands in the fire with a dull look on their face. no, thereâs supposed to be screaming, yellingâ maybe loud laughter if thereâs a few screws loose in their skull. so of course, gahyeon thinks sheâs being perfectly rational. why wouldnât she? sheâs not the one sticking her hand in a bonfire for godâs sake.
her fingers twitch around her slingshot, wanting to scramble for another marble as she watches the male warily. sheâs sure that the slingshot canât protect her, but it certainly makes her feel better as she lets out a soft exhale, eyes narrowing as she swallows back her nerves.
seeing things. sheâs seeing things. âyour hand was in that fire.â she yelps, eyes flickering from the flame, his hand, and then his face. âiâ didnât just imagine that! iâm not weird!â she sputters. her fingers are trembling around her slingshot. âiâ iâm sure you wereâ look, donât try and trick me. show me your hand!â she takes a few hesitant steps forward, teeth chewing on her lip. âyour hand was in the fire. iâm not an idiot! i saw it, i really did!â
It only takes him a second to recognize, but sheâs definitely not convinced. That much is obvious. Heâs not usually this careless, at least thatâs what he likes to think.
Hyunwoo struggles to find a puzzled expression, âMy hand? If it was, I would probably need a trip to the hospital...â He tries for a tone that suggests what she had asked was impossible, like he didnât believe it himself, but he isnât sure if he got it right or not. Either way, heâd have to find a way to stop himself from zoning out when he was in situations like this.

yujuavt:
The whole scenario feels calm and peaceful, her connection with animals was much stronger than with humans and she focused only in enjoying that moment. But the creature didnât seem to share that intention and it stepped back, vanishing between the woods before she could do anything. Her intuition was tingling and Yuju rushed to undress herself, changing to her fox form and carrying the clothes on her mouth, rushing to catch up with the other. Many would think her decision was idiotic, why would she chase after a black wolf that could make fire spawn?
There was no specific reason, it was a matter of guts and instinct. One thing was sure, the image of Him wouldnât stop flashing every time sheâd look into those wolf eyes and she wished more of it. She sees him pacing down and stopping and she doesnât reveal her presence yet, instead observes. She freezes.
Just it happened to her, the body of the wolf slowly transformed into a human. And not just any human, she recognized those curves and back, those shoulders and legs. Yujuâs heart races, her mind questions everything. It didnât make any sense. He passed away. She got the letter, with his calligraphy and his signature. She mourned him for over a year. Stepping slowly from the bushes, body in middle of transformation, her face being the last thing to transform, her voice was firstly a fox mewl, turning into human voice as she dressed her long dress back. âHyunâŚwoo?âÂ
His ears are ringing and his limbs are shaky, but all in all, heâs alright. Physically, that is. His mind is a mess, and he wants nothing more than to forget what just happened. If he forgot, there would be less guilt. He didnât want to be reminded of the past, of the girl he disappeared on because he feared she would be in danger otherwise. It seems like life had a different plan for him.Â
He supposes that life was a little merciful, letting him be fully dressed before having to face her, not that he knew what was coming. Her hears her voice finally, behind him, and he turns slowly to face her, cursing himself for not running further, for thinking that this much was enough. He turns towards her and finds he has nothing to say. He wants to go to her and greet her as though the past two years never happened. but that was laughably impossible.Â
Instead, Hyunwoo stands there like an idiot, physically motionless with his mind both racing and completely blank. He has to remember to breathe, and the lingering silence gets uncomfortable the longer it goes on for. His tongue darts out to wet his lips. He wants to try for a small smile, but it doesnât quite happen. Instead, a muscle moves in his jaw and he braces himself to speak. âHi,â he finally says, the word simultaneously too much and not nearly enough in the heavy silence between them.

Running to the kitchen he grabbed whatever meat he could find, it had to eat meat, right? Maybe he could distract it with meat and then throw a bag over itâs head and get it out, but itâs size would be a problem. Four raw steaks in hand he found himself back at the door to the basement, unlocking it again. Closing the door behind him he followed the steps down and quickly saw the âbeastâ again, it had moved. It was closer to the stairs this time. He placed three of the steaks onto the ground, opening one of them. Hopefully this wasnât gonna be such a bad idea, one could only hope, right?
âHeyâŚ. buddy. I got this for you,â he spoke with shaky breath, his arm slightly trembling. Reaching out his arm towards the âbeastâ in front of him. The worst that could happen would be him losing an arm.
Ears still ringing from the transformation, it shook itself, a little more interested in the long-dead animals around it than anything else to notice the first greeting. It did however, notice the second one, and whipped around, fire licking up its sides until thereâs a thin layer of it around its body. It didnât quite feel threatened, per say but the flames started anyways, as a precaution.Â
It smelled blood though, and took a step towards the stairs. It smelled wrong. Meat should be fresh, it should be able to hear the blood pumping through its veins. It should be able to sense the life leaving its body. But the meat was bloody, and it snatched the piece from the outstretched hand. It only took a few seconds to wolf down the meat, then looks over at the producer of this meat.
It could practically see the fear coming off of the human in waves, not that it was difficult to tell, what with the shaky hands and voice. The human wasnât marked for death, so it had no reason to kill it. If it did, there would likely be repercussions. And it wasnât going to risk that. It took a step backwards, scarlet eyes fixed on the human at the doorway, wondering what he would do next.Â
| Devilâs Trap |
Military life was sure. Everything was controlled and mechanical. Nothing unexpected was to happen, not on base anyways. But he wasnât on base. He wasnât even in the military anymore. According to the papers, he wasnât even alive anymore. Ever since waking up in the forest, he had been moving around, mind and body on auto-pilot. Everything was a list of what he needed to survive, and everything he did amounted to crossing items off that list. He stole enough money to get himself the cheapest room in a hotel in Incheon. That would have to be enough until he could figure out how to access his bank account without attracting attention.Â
But money was running out, and Hyunwoo was walking back to the hotel after a long day of looking for a job when he felt unusually warm. Hot, even. He kept walking, puzzled for a few minutes. Itâs not until heâs a street away from the hotel that it occurs to him that it might have something to do why he woke up in the forest. Looking around, he was also made very aware that whatever it was that had happened, could not happen in public. He needed to get away from people. So he tore down the street, veering into the hotel, and dashed into the first door he saw. It was unlocked.Â
Had he not been paying attention, he wouldâve kept running and fallen down the steps, but instead, he took them three at a time, basically jumping down to land on his hands and knees. The pain jolted up his limbs, but he could care less. It felt like he had fire burning him alive from the inside. And things felt... wrong. There was a metallic tinge in his mouth as he bit down on his tongue to stop any sounds from escaping. Instead, he found his vision darkening until there was nothing but murky darkness all around him. The pain faded away, as did his consciousness.
His bones lengthened and his skin stretched. Fur covered his body and then there stood in his place, a hound, pitch black with searing red eyes.

four nods without much thoughtâ heâd made up his mind before heâd even offered. his eyes flicker up, he canât help that heâs curious and observant, looking over the other male quietly.
obviously, he seemed to be in a predicament, but he didnât seem to be running from anyone or anything like that. he seemed a bit unruffled, and there was that cut in his foot but he otherwise seemed unharmed. the sound of the manâs voice brought jinseok out of his (poor) detective skills and he insistently held them out towards the stranger.
âi believe you,â he offers a smile smileâ the question was said as if it was something that needed to be proven. âthose are kind of my good luck shoes,â he replies, âbut itâs okay if they donât find their way back to me. but,â he tilts his head, âmy dance studio is nearby here so if you find yourself in the area again, you can always uhm, drop by,â he finishes, sentence trailing off. but in situations like these, he tends to babble so he begins by listing off the address of his studio.
and then he continues, âmy name is oh jinseok, i normally teach in studio a from 9 in the morning to 11, and then again in studio c from 3:30 to 6:30, and 7 to 9. so iâm there quite often,â he supplies helpfully.
Hyunwooâs surprised to say the least, to have come across someone who would just offer him shoes. He hesitantly takes the shoes and puts them on the ground, slipping his feet in. Theyâre a little off in size, but theyâll work fine for the walk home. âThank you,â he says quietly, still slightly taken aback at the act of kindness, but in the best way. âIâm Hyunwoo, nice to meet you,â he holds out his hand a little awkwardly for an introductory handshake. âI work in the cafe next to the park two streets down. But Iâll try to have the shoes returned by the end of the day today.âÂ
He didnât really have anything else to do that day anyways, considering he was going to call in sick. Maybe heâd risk a transformation at home later on to fix his foot, but at the moment, there was nothing he could do about it. He made sure to pay extra attention to the address of the dance studio. Hyunwoo wanted to get the shoes back to their kind owner, especially because of how nice he was to a complete stranger.Â

avtchan:
Chanyeol could only empathize with the other male regarding animals. Animals always have seemed to be drawn towards him, though for a time he was admittedly hesitant around cats after a neighborhood stray scratched him. It took some time to get over it, but the payoff was good in the long run, the taller male now the (very) proud caretaker of a feral cat colony.Â
His head perks up, smile growing wider as the pair started to discuss plants. He stops petting Misty for the time, devoting his full attention to the other male, nodding his head softly. âHouse plants are actually one of the easiest plants to care for.â He chirps. Many of his customers shared the same concerns as the other male, âIf you want something with minimal care, a cacti would be best.â He hums. âThey only require sunlight and need to be watered at lest once a week.âÂ
Chanyeol didnât own too many cacti, though he did like to admire the ones he comes into contact with at the nursery. âAh, that happens a lot..â A small frown starts to form, the taller trying his best not to think about it too much. It always pained him to see, or even hear about plants going through something like that, but he could only sympathize since most people werenât able to communicate with the greenery. âOh! Fish are cute!â He shakes off the twinge of negative emotions, and flashes yet another smile. âAnd very easy to take care of.â He says cheerily, starting to gently stroke the dog.Â
A cactis? He had never really considered that. Usually when talking about house plants, the assumption would be that it was something with leaves or flowers. He supposed a cacti would be easy enough. Maybe it was worth looking into. Though with the amount of times he had tried to practice his fire manipulation at his home in the loft, it would probably be better not to expose a houseplant to that.
Hmm maybe he should get a fish. Were fish affected by the air around them? It didnât take a lot of attention to care for a fish, not from what he had heard at least. âYeah, maybe I could get one of those.â Betta fish were colourful and interesting enough. He looked over at the dog he was supposed to be pet-sitting. She was just lying on her stomach beside Chanyeol. He didnât really want to make any sudden movements, towards her or not. She hadnât been this calm since his coworker had handed him her leash earlier that morning.

mark decides to take his time showering. itâs been a almost a week since his last one. while heâs thankful that he doesnât seem to smell too gross, having sweat and dirty practically caked on isnât fun at all. so he manages to step into the shower and does his best to work off the sweat adorning his small, frail body. he needs to wash his clothes too. but heâll do that in a moment, he just wants to stay under the water and enjoy himself.
so he takes that time to eventually be as clean as possible. afterwards, he takes his time to wash the underwear heâs had on for a few weeks now. heâs best to try and wash it now so that he can have it dry later. afterwards, he rings out the water and covers himself in a big fluffy towel that actually manages to cover his chest to his knees. he feels so massive.
he quietly peeks his head from the doorway.Â
âuh⌠hyung⌠my clothes are kind of wet so could i borrow some of yours please? i washed some of them because theyâre gross.â he doesnât know why heâs trying to justify why his clothes are wet but he supposes giving an explanation will do. also he manages to spot food and his stomach grumbles loudly, his face flushing red through his tanned skin.
Ah... clothes.... He probably should have thought of that. Instead, he slides slips and slides around in his socks, zooming pat the washroom with Markâs face peeking out with a âHold on!â trailing behind him as he slides into his bedroom. A few seconds later, he emerges with a large t-shirt and sweatpants. They might be large on Mark, but that might be the case with all of his clothes.Â
He hands them off to Mark at the door of the bathroom, with a sheepish smile. âDo you want me to put your clothes in the wash?â It wouldnât be a big deal to wash Markâs clothes with his own. Heâd have to wait until the clothes dried completely anyways.Â

He stumbled towards the door, hoping it was the bathroom. Not even caring at this point honestly. He just needed to be away. Away. Away. It was too much. He gripped a shelf as he hunched over, body shaking with a sudden retching from deep in his guts. He was vaguely aware of someone elseâs presence. Vaguely aware that the pressure behind his eyes finally burst into a wave of palpable energy that came off of him in a wave â enough to knock anyone else sideways.
It had been a lazy morning at the coffee shop, but things usually picked up as the day went by. Hyunwoo figured he might as well take his break before the big wave of customers, and maybe if he was lucky, heâd miss the first bit of that as well. So he headed into the storage room as he did habitually, to take his nap.Â
He manages to actually fall asleep, but it doesnât last very long. Thereâs the telltale noise of the storage door opening, and itâs enough to wake him up from his light nap. Hyunwooâs expecting the voice of another employee letting him know to get back to the counter, but instead, thereâs silence. When he looks over, thereâs someone who definitely isnât a worker at the cafe.Â
Getting up, he figures that maybe a customer just wandered into the wrong room, looking for probably the bathroom. âHe-â the word isnât even completely out of his mouth when something rams into him, knocking him back two steps. Thereâs a sudden onset of dizziness and though heâs holding onto a shelf to steady himself, Hyunwoo finds himself crouching on the floor, eyes squeezed shut. His head hurts and he can feel saliva rushing into his mouth as though heâs about to vomit, and he clenches his teeth together. This wasnât normal, and heâs pretty sure whoever just walked into the room was a mutant as well. That was the most likely conclusion. He grunts as his eyes open and he tries to focus his vision on one point on the floor to steady himself, but the dizziness wonât let up, and heâs left feeling more nauseous than before.Â

thereâs a knife sticking out of his arm, but he doesnât sound angry. just resigned, and she thinks thatâs what jolts her out of it. the weightâs this close to breaking her ribcage. it doesnât dissipate â never does, of course, bloodlust just receding into the background, there for the picking if anyone so wanted to, but itâs enough to push the customers out of their induced aggression, fear overtaking the primal urge sheâd let out. hyunwooâs eyes darken to their usual brown as the bar puts itself back together slowly, her show over.
chaeyoung makes an aborted movement towards the other, stilted, regretting it immediately and then abandoning it altogether. she stands there, in front of him, unsure and guilty for the relief she feels.
He doesnât know what he expects, but itâs not the customers calming down. So when that happens, Hyunwoo is surprised, but his eyes never leave her. It dawns on him that heâs holding a bloody knife in the middle of a bar thatâs trying to pull itself back together, so he stashes it in his jacket.Â
Then he takes her wrist and pulls her into a hug, arms wrapping around her shoulders. He doesnât exactly have the words to convey how relived he is that sheâs not physically hurt. The phrase âIâm glad youâre okayâ doesnât quite cut it, and to be realistic, the use of the word âokayâ in itself was debatable. Sure, physically Chaeyoung was fine, but from what he had gathered, holding in the bloodlust wasnât pleasant, nor was it healthy.Â
He canât find the right words, so he doesnât speak at all, and just holds her close for a few seconds, hoping the message would come through regardless. When he releases her, Hyunwoo is quiet for a moment more. âLetâs get out of here. Are you hungry?â is the thing he says eventually. His arm feels sore where the knife entered him, but itâs nothing too major, and if he transforms that night sometime later, heâd be fine by the time he turned back. He just hopes he wonât be bleeding all over the place. There was no need to spread his DNA around and attract more attention. Luckily for him, it seems that whatever bleeding heâs doing, is being absorbed by his shirt underneath. At the very least, none of it is dripping.Â
