The first time Klavier hears Eustace speak it, he's flabbergasted bc since when did could he speak that?! Also for a lot of people, Chinese is super hard to learn.

He didn't even speak Chinese to flex, they were probably at a Chinese restaurant or something and Eustace spoke Chinese when reading the menu and giving his order to the server.

I can see him starting professional lessons after he started working more with Lang, but before that Lang tried to teach him a few of the basics

When Shaun expresses interest Eustace also locks in to teach him and find some classes in Shauns area. I can see them video calling about it and trying to challenge eachother to not speak any English throughout the call

With Klavier, he knows Eustace travels but it never occurred to him that he would speak any other language than English or possibly german

So when he hears him speak Chinese, I can imagine Eustace just looks back over and Klaviers mouth is agape

He is very obviously impressed and bombarded Eustace with questions

"A kid shouldn't be outcast if their parent does something awful! They had nothing to do with it! If anything, the kid is just as hurt by their parents' actions as anyone else, if not more! The kid is a victim and needs support that they can't get from their parent right now, not to be treated like a criminal for their parents' mistakes! You were just a kid...."

I dont think Nahyuta and Eustace would get along at first

Because Eustace believes Nahyuta is too stuck in his ways when rhey first meet

Theyd get into a huge argument about the beliefs of Khura'inism and Eustace would eventually say something along the lines of: "If your goddess forces sins that they didnt commit onto a child, she may not be worth worshipping at all"

This is obviously hella sacrilegious and Eustace should not have said that so bluntly

Eventually, the 2 of them are able to reconcile but it takes a lot for them to even tolerate eachother after that

I think only when Eustace learns of how that belief harmed Nahyuta (ie 'you were just a kid') and the changes that are being made in Khura'in does he meet eye to eye with Nahyuta and outwardly apologize for straight up insulting his religion

Nahyuta also grows to forgive him sfter learning why he feels so strongly about these beliefs and how he was a victim of his own fathers sins in the past, and grows to understand his statement was emotional, not an actually attack on the religion itself

The two bond over growing up w/o a mother and Eustace confides in Apollo about his life and how he has this lack of confidence towards every move he makes

Meanwhile hes still keeping his friendship strong wirh Klavier, and Klavier confides in Apollo about how alone he feels, how his support system has fallen apart and all his new friends dont and cannot understand what hes going through wirh Kristoph

Eventually upon visiting the US Apollo gets to see Eustace and Klavier in the same room and realizes that this is perfect

He needs to introduce these 2 stat

But ofc its never that easy.

He keeps trying to introduce them but something always comes up, or something gets in the way

Its gotten to the point hes enlisted Trucy and Athenas help making some elaborate scheme because nothing else is working

Eventually he finally gets the opportunity to push these 2 together through and exceedingly mundane task

Like:

A: Hey Stace, could you give this document to proscutor Gavin for me

E: Uhm sure? Why are you sweating so much?

A: JUST DO IT

You cannot convince me this man is normal about having a crush, hed be awkward the whole time trying to make Eustace feel as comfortable as possible in his apartment, buying him his favorite snacks, giving him his blankets when he gets cold, etc etc

Eustace would be so comfortable in fact, that he falls asleep on Klaviers shoulder mid movie
