Supergirl Thoughts!
WHY is everyone saying this movie sucks like OK self-admittedly i'm a little biased because I did love Superman BUT is is not a one 1/5 star movie ??? "the movie was so focused on Lobo and Superman" mind you they were probably in like three minutes of the movie. combined. "Ruthie felt like the lead more than Kara did" you do know that movies can have two protagonist right? "all of the planets look the same and the visuals are dark and gritty" i'm sorry did you think everything was gonna be sunshine and rainbows?? girl if you want that watch Superman.
I know I can't speak on comics and stuff because I've never read them BUT seeing how some people who have clearly never read the comics talk about this movie makes me wanna like never talk about movies online ever again. also did you seriously think this was gonna be an accurate comic to movie adaptation?? because name one movie that has ever fucking done that?? some people do have real criticisms and while I will stay fierce in my stance that this is a 10 out of 10 movie I can see people going down to an eight (theyre wrong) but a ONE?? youre high. so many people are just being so much more harsh on this movie because it has a female lead.
There have been such worse MCU films that people love and I don't know maybe that's not because theyre male lead and just because people are more invested in the MCU because it's been going on for so long and that sunk cost fallacy but maybe a little bit of it is.
I think after Spider-Man homecoming, especially after the vulture speech I don't think Peter and Tony should've been as close as they were in Cannon #HOTTAKE. like baby I know you're 15 and I know you're like a loner and you look up to Tony Stark... but he also sent you off to fight his war (on the wrong side may I add!!) and then he gave you a suit and didn't tell you how to use it at all. and you also didn't see him for like months and on top of that the person that you're supposed to talk to about all this ignores you completely and then when you finally do get a chance to talk to your idol he's putting you down and not even there and then when you finally talk to him again (third time EVER!!) he takes that same suit away from you. taking away not only your freedom but the only way you know how to help people...
