SO.

Apparently AI companies are buying books published pre 2022 en masse, scanning then and then destroying them. This is because Generative AI -needs- original content to function as intended and this AI has infected the internet in such a massive way that it's starting to train itself on it's own creations--thus making the "ai slop" even worse. (I find this hilarious btw, its the book thing that irks me. Pretty sure we all learned this lesson from Fahrenheit 451 in highschool)

Anyway, that's not good.
