“no. no ass-kicking tonight.” he shook his head with a smile of agreement, reaching out to run a hand through Ava’s hair gently, letting his hand move down and trail down over her arm. right now, she could ask him to do anything - well, almost anything - and he’d really just do it. he was that under her spell right now, he couldn’t think about anything other than her.

he really couldn’t imagine himself in this position with anybody else at this moment. Gabriel didn’t want anybody else, not whilst he had Ava in his bed so eager to please him; yet there was so much more to it now than that. there were no words he could find to describe how he felt. it wasn’t even anything like he’d felt before, though he knew compared to others, his sexual body count truly wasn’t all that high.

his body shifted again, laying on his front completely between her bared legs, elbows propping him up as he gazed quietly up at her face for a few moments longer. “well, I’m flattered.” Gabriel smirked softly, dipping his head and pressing a soft kiss to the inside of her thigh. “truly, I am. you’re gorgeous, cariña, I’m a lucky man every time I lay eyes on you… clothes or no clothes.”

it was a comforting feeling, having gabe run his fingers through her blonde tresses. it seemed to 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞 her, and allow herself to be present in the moment, not having anyone else on her mind but him. that’s all she cared about at that point... she may have been sleeping with the enemy but god, he was wonderful. the most 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘵 man she’d ever met.

“you should be.” she teased, biting down on her lip as she eyed him pressing a kiss to her inner thigh, her mind beginning to wander. his compliment brought her back to earth and she simply couldn’t contain her beaming grin. “thank you, baby. you’re pretty handsome yourself, mi querido.” as she spoke, she allowed her hands to roam her body slowly, tracing her fair skin, her fingers ghosting over the edge of her underwear. “if you hadn’t already guessed, i really like you, gabe melendez.” the words fell off her lips with 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚, but they rang true. ava couldn’t remember the last time she felt so enamoured with someone since she’d broken up with her ex boyfriend.

WALKING THAT MANY DOGS AT ONCE WAS ALWAYS A BAD IDEA. He knew this. He had learned this lesson a thousand times over, yet in still, here he was. The leashes were tangled, and inevitably one of them has slipped out of his hands. He knows this not because he’s actually seen it, but because the dog in question is currently running full speed across the park. There is a exhausted sigh, before he’s tying the rest of the group to the nearest picnic table, saying a mumble prayer he doesn’t believe in, and taking off after it.

It’s times like these that he is grateful for having ran track, and then ran from getting his ass beat, time and time again, back on the block. Soon, he’s catching up to the dog, who has stopped -thankfully- to give attention to a stranger. He’s bending down to pick up the leash, looking at the person with that tragically unsure expression.

“Uh, shit.” A great opening, naturally. “Sorry about that, much like myself, he was meant to be a stray, apparently.”

nursing a hangover, ava strolled through the park with a coffee in one hand and her iphone in the other, grasping on them as if they were her 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴. the caffeine surging through her system was bound to relieve her pounding head and a walk in the fresh air helped her truly wake up and get ready for the day ahead... but shit, she really just wanted to be in bed at that point.

before she knew it, the blonde eyed a large dog running towards her, slowly down as it got closer to her, the animal’s 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 eyes gazing into hers, as if it were begging her for affection. “oh, hey you.” she greeted softly, leaning down to give it a pet. she didn’t have a dog of her own anymore once she’d left bulgaria and frankly, she missed the companionship it brought. 

“well, you’re in luck, because you don’t have to share me tonight.” the smirk on her face soon encouraged one to grace his own lips all over again. he rolled over onto his front, lying at an angle across the bed with his torso almost laying between her legs. “and you’re right, you know. i’ll leave this on you for a little longer for me to admire though. we’ve got all night.” his eyes trailed up her body, gaze lingering on the lacy material for another glorious moment before he propped himself up more and pushed himself up to kneel in front of her.

it felt natural to be with Ava like this. he couldn’t explain it, and if he could, then maybe he’d feel differently. all he knew was that he could be himself and she’d just laugh, joke and then give him a kiss like her life depended on it. it was perfect for what he needed at this point in his life, it was just a damn shame that they had to keep it all a secret. Gabriel reached up quite eagerly, taking over from her hands and helping her to peel the skinny jeans off and away from her legs. “mm. that’s more like it.” he ran his hands over her thighs gently, biting down subtly on his lower lip as he lost himself in deep thought again for a moment or two.

“𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘨𝘰𝘥. i’m not in the mood to kick any woman’s ass. you’re mine for now.” ava jested, a determined look on her face. it was true, though, at this point she was ready to take down any woman who was going to stand in her way of gabriel. she grinned at him again, feeling his eyes on her and she was absolutely relishing in that. she loved that she had him wrapped around her little finger, at that point she had him absolutely where she wanted him.

while ava was loving her little 𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖑𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙 with gabe, she also loved being a diablo. they were her family first and foremost, even more so than her blood relatives back in her little bulgarian village. if it were anyone else, the woman certainly wouldn’t risk her place in the club. up until she’d been with gabe, she was fiercely loyal to the MC. she was in a bit of a predicament now, as her fondness for the man had grown from being solely lust to strong, romantic feelings for him.

feeling the relief once her long legs were now free from the constraints of her jeans, biting down on her lip, watching him carefully as he admired the 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 underwear adorning her body. “you know i only wear stuff like this for you, right?” she questioned curiously, wanting him to know he wasn’t just a fuck for her. even if he was originally supposed to be.

“well, I figured what happens in this room is for our eyes - and ears - only. they don’t need to hear what we’re up to.” he protested playfully but he liked her confidence and nonchalance about it. god, it was like that made her ten times hotter in the moment. “and your mother sounds like a very wise lady.”

his eyes only flickered back to the screen for a brief moment, but Gabriel’s attention was caught by the complete removal of her own shirt. of course. his absolute kryptonite. pretty lingerie. made him weak every time. “yeah, you don’t even gotta ask. you know I like it. especially when it’s you wearing it.” he practically got goosebumps from her nails tickling across the sensitive skin on his stomach, reaching his own hand up and trailing a finger along the soft lacy strap. “mm. that is nice, though it’ll look better on the floor… all in due time.”

he let his hand reach out and settle on her still fully clothed leg, trailing his hand slowly up and along the inside of her thigh before he stopped a little abruptly. “maybe you should take these off, too. surely you can’t get comfortable in them, hmm?”

a 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 grin spread across ava’s face at his words. something she loved about gabe was how playful they could be together, almost encouraging her 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴. “mmm, you’re right. just us two. i like that. i can have you all to myself. you know i don’t like sharing.” she quipped, brushing some of her golden blonde hair out of her face. “yes, she really is. a little too wise, i think.”

gabe’s obvious reaction to her lingerie caused her lips to curve in a smirk, she knew what he liked, and honestly as of late, he’d really been the only man she was wearing 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘆 ensembles for. when it came to sex with other men, she didn’t care about them enough to go to the trouble. “i think it will, too. i know you prefer me with absolutely nothing on whatsoever.” she then felt his hands moved towards her bottom half, the woman nodded in complete agreement. “not comfortable 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭. you’ve got that one correct. i think maybe you should help me get them off...” her suggestion was laced with desire, her eyes connecting gabe’s again before unbuttoning her jeans and gently tugging them, waiting for her lover’s hands to assist her.

his grin only grew even wider as she undid one extra button, letting out a soft chuckle as she spoke. “yeah, well I might want that, but the neighbors don’t.” Gabriel’s eyes followed her as she moved round to take up her spot on the bed. her spot. he realised he phrased that in his mind like that side of the bed belonged to her. well, she was his main fling at the moment, although this felt like it had lasted a lot longer than a simple fling. Gabriel’s grin inadvertently faltered as he glanced back to the television, deep in thought, scrolling down to the movies section and selecting the first one in the recommended category. he could think of better uses of his time than scrolling forever to find something they’d both like.

he shifted backwards so that his back was closer to the headboard at the top end of the bed. before he could reach around and shift his pillows, Ava spoke again, with her request sounding much more like a demand, and the corner of his lips tugged up into a smirk. “well, you sure are a woman who knows what she wants, aren’t you?” Gabriel acted like he was thinking about her firm request, before reaching down and grabbing the hem of his t-shirt, pulling it off over his head before pulling the pillows up and settling back. he tucked one arm behind his head as he lay half-propped up to get a better view of the television, not that that was the view that either of them really wanted this evening. he yanked the pillows up behind him, glancing down at her again as he got comfortable.

‘but the neighbors don’t.’ - ava simply shrugged, her amused expression making it obvious she truly didn’t give a fuck about what his neighbors thought. “baby, you know me well enough to know that i don’t care about that. plus, it’ll give them a little excitement in their 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 lives.” the bulgarian teased, biting her lip lightly as she gazed over his body with interest, 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 the view she had in front of her.

her focus then turned to the television for a moment, taking a peek at whatever movie he’d chosen for them to watch. “nice choice.” she quipped casually, actually not knowing a single thing about it, and she didn’t care to know at all. her focus wouldn’t be on the screen after all. “i absolutely am. my mother always told me it’s important for a woman to go after what she wants. i suppose i come from a long line of decisive women.”

the blonde’s tongue flicked out to wet her lips as she admired gabe’s shirtless physique. figuring that it was her turn to shed some clothing. at that, she finished undoing her shirt, tossing it carelessly aside with the other clothing on the floor. the lace lingerie that 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 her body on full display then. “you like?” she questioned curiously as she moved closer to her lover, resting on her side while her hand traced over his toned abdomen.

“absolutely no problem at all.” he was captivated for a moment by her lips, as he backed into the room, eyes on her face again as he set his gun down atop the nightstand on his usual side of the bed. every word that Ava spoke to him, especially with that kind of look on her face… it just made her even more irresistible to Gabriel. sure, he wanted to sit and de-stress and watch a movie, but he could also think of a few other things he wanted to do.

after setting his gun down, Gabriel turned back around to face Ava again as he spoke. “ah, see, the noises you were making made that very clear…” he trailed off, eyes fixated on her again, this time on her hands unbuttoning a few buttons on her shirt. “as much as I’d love to just stand here and watch you, I think we should just see what Netflix has to offer.” how was it fair that the one person he knew he shouldn’t be sleeping with was like a magnet, drawing him in like this? he unbuttoned his own shirt, tossing that carelessly aside and leaving him in just a t-shirt and jeans as he sat down on the edge of the messy bed and reached for the television remote.

ava truly 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗱 being around gabe. it wasn’t just the sex she stayed around for, she felt as though she had a real 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 with the man, and that’s what made the situation even harder for her. if, or more likely when, their little tryst would be found out, she knew that would be torn away from her. the thought that something may happen to him because of her made the bulgarian’s heart hurt, which didn’t happen often. she wasn’t someone who showed their feelings so readily, but she was willing to bear it all for gabe. even if she wasn’t entirely sure how at that point. “yeah? i can be 𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘳 if you want...” she teased, undoing an extra button to giving him a little something extra to enjoy.

at that, she moved over to the bed, laying herself down on the side she usually occupied. kicking her shoes off, the woman made herself comfortable as her eyes were still glued to what gabe was doing. “take off your t-shirt too.” she suggested 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙡𝙮 with a raised brow, her bulgarian accent thick as she spoke. “i’ll let you decide what to watch. i don’t really care what’s on, it’s not like i’ll be paying attention anyway.”

The weekend was usually the busiest time for the Tattoo Artist. She’d amassed quite a following from her instagram, as well as people who’d travel far and wide to get her artwork on their body. Her home shop was a place in Brooklyn, but the Parisan was much more nomad than someone who could sit still. She wanted to give her daughter the best parts of the world and make her the most well rounded human. That to MJ meant travelling. Since her work wasn’t tied to one place she made it a habit of taking up residency in shops around the country, this one happened to be in Texas. 

Sitting at her station sketching out some options for clients she had lined up the rest of the week her gaze glanced upwards. A slow smile spread on the womans perfectly painted lips. She had a welcoming aura that engulfed her and those around her. Despite her exterior she was warm and gentile, not the type of person someone might find inside a tattoo parlor. Setting her pencil and sketch pad aside her art didn’t go unnoticed. A familiar sheen of silver led laced the outside of her left hand. 

“Ah, Mon amor what can I do for you today?” She asked with a bright smile.

it had been a somewhat 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 weekend so far for ava, she’d spent the majority of the day at the clubhouse, dealing with everything that needed to be done with the help of her trusty flask of whiskey. though, an unexpected encounter with a fellow diablo member escalated to the point where the bulgarian was sent home by a friend before things went too far. fuck that. it wasn’t her fault some people were complete 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘀 that needed to be put in their place.

after leaving in a huff, ava wandered around town aimlessly, occasionally taking a swig of the amber liquid and appreciating the 𝙚𝙪𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙘 feeling it gave her, especially after the shitty day she’d had. her interested peaked once she’d caught sight of a neon ‘open’ sign ahead. curious, she pushed the door open, the bell chiming to signal her arrival. a tattoo parlour. yes! maybe that’s what she needed to end the day right... maybe add something to her extremely small collection of body ink.

ava cleared her throat as she laid eyes on the very beautiful shop owner, her lips curving into a small smile. if the blonde were into women, the stranger would be exactly her type. in another life, maybe. “uh, hey. yeah, i was thinking of maybe getting another tattoo, completely spare of the moment. i have no clue what i want, though. maybe you could help me with that?”

he practically whined again at the sight of her winding him up. whatever game she was playing, he was acting exactly as he knew she’d expect him to, and he hated himself for being so predictable, but when she was stood in front of him looking like that, Gabriel couldn’t help himself. “if I’m lucky, huh? so that’s the game you’re playing?” he chuckled, eyes absolutely glued to her face, knowing exactly what was more than likely hiding under those clothes of hers. at times like this, she had him wrapped around her pinky finger.

the short kiss she pressed against his lips only put him on edge even more. “yeah? well, I didn’t hear you complaining about where my hand was going.” he chuckled, turning away from her for just a second to hang his jacket up and pick up the gun he’d left on the counter. no way he’d leave it across the apartment from him when his guard was so low. “maybe if you’re lucky, then my hand will end up there again.” Gabriel arched an eyebrow as he tucked the gun into the back of his jeans again to free up his hands as he turned to face her. he held onto her hips again, kissing her as he backed her up a few steps closer to the room before pulling away with a smirk and going in ahead of her.

it was a common sight... ava putting on a 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰 for him, teasing the man as if it were her duty, and she loved it more than most things. “mhm. you got a problem with that, 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦?” ava purred, licking her lips rather enticingly. ever since her last ‘proper’ break-up, she had vowed to stay away from men, well... diablo men at least. she had too much of a natural need for intimacy to stay away from the male kind all together. of course, it was bad that she was seeing a reaper... all the trouble they’d get into if the MC’s found out. they’d be dead meat. for now, though, it was irresistible.

the blonde could see how far on the edge she was sending gabe, a 𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 grin spreading across her face at his little comment. “oh, you’re right. i wasn’t. i like it a lot... maybe a little too much, but you should know that.” she quipped playfully as she leaned into him. “i look forward to it, then.” ava stayed there watching him for a moment before following him into the all familiar room with ease, untucking her shirt from her pants, undoing a few buttons whilst eyeing him with interest. “so, what do you wanna watch? something romantic? something scary?”

“the surprise? yeah, because you making me jump out of my skin and reach for my gun is a great surprise.” he teased, letting his head move forward, his forehead pressed against hers, and his grip on her tightening slightly as she spoke again. “mhmm. damn right I like it.” Gabriel let his head drop down, pressing a gentle kiss to the side of her neck, whining softly as she broke away from him and moved before he could carry on what he’d started. the truth was, Gabriel had a lot of pent up emotions right now, mainly the sheer worry about the goings-on in the aftermath of the Diablo president, so he knew he should probably take it easy. “there’s a tv in the bedroom. maybe we can just go chill in there and see what happens, hmm?” he suggested, making grabby hands at her so he could pull her back in closer to him when she’d safely set her drink down. “you, me, a movie and a bottle of whiskey, how does that sound?”

“i admit, it’s probably not great that i made you reach for your gone, but don’t even try to pretend you don’t like when i’m here. you know i’m your favorite 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.” she teased shamelessly, her tongue flicking out to wet her lips. the familiar feeling of his lips against her milky flesh caused her to groan softly, moving her head to the side a little more to allow him more access. “i like the sound of that, 𝙢𝙞 𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙧. if you’re lucky, i might let you see what i’m wearing under these clothes.” her voice was husky and laced with desire, she knew just how to wind him up, it was a game she just loved to play.

leaning in slowly, she pressed against lips against his, enjoying the feeling of them so close, and despite the fact it hadn’t been all that long since they’d been together, it felt like an eternity. “i think we both know we’re not going to pay attention to that movie at all... remember last time? your hand was between my legs within minutes.” she replied smartly, pulling away from him slightly. “come on, come with me, the bed’s waiting...”

he looked down at his glass again, taking another longer gulp and reaching over slightly to the counter, pulling away from her to set down the nearly empty glass but returning back to his original position, both hands now on her hips. “always be here? what, so you’ll break in to meet me every time i come home?” Gabriel joked with only the hint of a smile on his face, but he knew exactly what she meant. and he appreciated it. even if it was coming from a Diablo. his face changed when she moved closer though, a smirk of his own growing to match the one settled on Ava’s own face. “yeah, I bet you do, cariña.” that just seemed to be his favorite nickname to use on her. his eyes had glanced down to follow the trail of her hand before she spoke and he detected the seriousness that had entered her tone. “you’re right. we should probably do that.”

icy blue hues 𝙁𝙊𝘾𝙐𝙎𝙀𝘿 on gabe, a mischievous grin forming. “maybe. i can’t say, it’ll ruin the surprise of it all.” she jested, leaning in a little closer to him. she’d never allowed herself to get this acquainted with someone who wasn’t a 𝚍𝚒𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚘 ever since she’d been a part of the MC. “you know it, baby. i know you like it, too. i see the way you look at me when you’re not supposed to.” she grinned, almost bragging at the end of the sentence. “how about we start now, hm?”  she broke away for a quick moment to put her glass down, not bothering about what was left. she was far more interested in her lover right then and there. “unless you wanted to just watch a movie... or talk?”

maybe in another life, things would be different, Gabriel would feel… less guilty for what he was doing, what they were doing, for a multitude of reasons. “yeah. I do say so.” he offered her another slight reassuring smile as she turned away to focus on the bar again, his eyes on her the entire time for no particular reason. the speed at which she could fix up drinks was impressive, but then again he guessed that she might have had a lot of practice.

“here’s to telling the what if’s to fuck off.” Gabriel accepted the glass from her, raising it slightly before taking a sip of the liquid. he was in no rush now with this drink. he exhaled slowly as she asked how he was. to be honest, he wasn’t even quite sure how to answer. “all the MC bullshit aside, I feel… I don’t know.” he inhaled softly through clenched teeth, like trying to acknowledge how he felt and put it into words was physically painful to him. “maybe I feel a little empty right now. I don’t know. that’s why I need distractions, the reason why I need this…” his hand not holding his drink reached out slightly again, tracing over the curve of her side before gently settling on her hip, one of his favorite places to grab. “…whatever this is.” he took another sip from his drink, never breaking eye contact with Ava. “but I don’t know how much longer we can have this for.”

once he’d taken the drink, ava followed gabe’s lead and brought the glass to her lips, taking a sizeable sip. as she watched it, a small smile formed. god, he was gorgeous. not only on the outside, but he had a 𝐆𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓. she knew that for sure. “cheers to that.” she agreed, biting her lip very lightly, listening to his reply intently. she genuinely cared how he was feeling, and for a woman who mostly pushed people away, that was a big thing. “i’ll always be here for you, you know that, right?” the bulgarian questioned, moving closer to him and relaxing against his touch. “mmm, me too. i love being with you. i love when you touch me, how you make me feel...” she smirked as she eyed him, her free hand trailing down his chest, before stopping in her tracks. a more serious look then graced her face and she nodded. “let’s make the most of it then, hm?”

he had to think for a moment before he responded to her first question. “i don’t know… i’d definitely call it fun, though. and risky as hell.” his gaze lingered on her face for a moment longer before his eyes drifted down to the drink in his hand. “i’d also call it a stupid idea, depends what mood i’m in.” but he couldn’t help himself. he told himself that this was a bad idea and he needed to stop, but then Ava would appear suddenly in his path again and one thing would lead to another.

the shit they could end up in if things got any worse for the MC’s was enough to give Gabriel the urge to neck the rest of the amber liquid in the glass in his hand; so he did, setting the empty glass down on the counter next to his handgun. he didn’t ever plan on getting involved with a Diablo. he didn’t plan on applying for a fucking divorce, either, but that happened. “we’ll figure that out if it gets to that point. don’t worry about something that might not happen, hmm?” he reached up and tucked a strand of her hair gently behind her ear, a smile beginning to tug at the corners of his lips as he did so. “what i think we need now, is another drink, sí?”

as much as she wished things weren’t this 𝐃𝐈𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐓, ava knew gabe was right. it was highly unlikely that they’d ever be anything more than sex to each other, but she did value his friendship. a lot. though, they both knew that they could realistically have neither. the reapers and the diablos were out for each other’s blood, their connection to each other was never going to be accepted. she had to deal with that.

the bulgarian’s gaze never moved from gabe, she watched his every move carefully, allowing a small smile to form on her face at his reassurance. “if you say so.” she replied quietly, nodding when he suggested another drink. now she was definitely down for that, though, she 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 was. “i think so too. let’s get our minds off the what ifs.” she replied, releasing herself from his embrace and moving over to the bar again, fixing them each a drink quickly before turning back to him, holding out the glass for him to take. “how are you, though? all the MC bullshit aside.”

that smirk into the fake innocent pout… god, Ava really was something else, wasn’t she? Gabriel removed the handgun from his person, setting it down on the counter before something else made him jump and he started shooting. he leaned against said counter, his eyes watching her as she rose gracefully from her seat and moved closer. “no. boring isn’t a word i’d use to describe you, cariña.”

her hand raised up as she spoke and Gabriel pursed his lips slightly, his lips twitching up into a smirk. “amor? that’s what you call it?” he obligingly took her hand and pushed his weight off of the counter, taking a step backwards into the spacious room and pulling her playfully towards him, but the faintest hint of the smirk on his face slipped away as she went truly forlorn for a moment, apologizing. “it’s because i’ve had to stay away from Newton, Ava. a diablo catches sight of me on my own and i’m done for. same thing here, with you. you’re lucky nobody else came by. catch the wrong Reaper on a bad day and you’re in trouble. i don’t want that shit happening for either of us, yeah? the MC’s are not good amigos right now.” his other hand reached up, swiping her drink and taking a sip of it himself.

“good. i’m glad we’re on the same page, then.” the woman laughed, flicking some of her blonde hair off her shoulder. his use of the term ‘cariña’ made her smile. she liked when he used 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 on her, it caused her heart’s pace to quicken, and honestly? she really wasn’t sure how to deal with that. “i don’t know... what would you call it?” she replied, turning the question back on him, but it wasn’t really that serious of a question. she had no clue what they were, and the fact they were even sleeping together would not go down well for either clubs.

a sigh escaped her and ava nodded. “i know. i get that, i didn’t plan on getting involved with a reaper. the diablos would have me eradicated if they found out we are... fucking.” she let go of his arm, allowing him to take hold of her drink, watching him have a sip. “what are we going to do? we can’t keep sneaking around forever... i know it’s not ideal, but they are going to find out eventually. i don’t know how, but the clubs have eyes and ears everywhere.” she shrugged, feeling her heart sink at the thought of the diablos every figuring out her attachment to gabe.

a defeated sigh escaped from pink lips as she shook her head, “honestly…neither of them could be bothered. they just kept fucking going at it.” her nose wrinkled, brows knitting into a furrow as she couldn’t HELP but think about it. she groaned in disgust, “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fucking distract me! don’t make me beg anymore. definitely too soon and not funny at all. how would YOU feel if you walked in on your best friend boning your dad?”

ava’s expression turned into a grimace as she listened to her, immediately shaking her head. “now that’s just wrong.” she concluded, necking the last of her glass of scotch before moving the new one closer to her. “okay! fine. geez, i’m just trying to make light of the situation.” she replied in defence, unable to control the laugh that followed. “luckily for me, i don’t have the worry about that. my father is an 84 year old senile man in a nursing home in bulgaria. unlikely that situation would ever occur, but i offer you my condolences.” she replied sincerely, shrugging. “hm, okay... a distraction... did i tell you about what happened the other night? the wife of a man i was sleeping with came home while we were in bed together and i had to fucking hide in the closet until she left. i can safely say i never want to do that again.”

having come back to his place exhausted from what felt like the longest day of his life, it took Gabriel too long to realize that his door was already unlocked when he arrived home. he wandered in, stifling a yawn, his guard completely down which meant that he absolutely jumped out of his skin when he heard a familiar voice come from the direction of his couch.

“mierda!” Gabriel flinched backwards, his hand jerking instinctively to the gun tucked into the back of his jeans, but exhaling loudly and relaxing his hand when his eyes adjusted to the dim light and he saw Ava lounging on his couch, already with a glass of something in her hand. “christ, Ava, couldn’t you have just waited or come back later and knocked like a normal person?” not that anything about this was normal. given the rising tension between the two MC’s, the two of them shouldn’t have even been socializing, let alone partaking in any other… activities behind closed doors.

ava’s lips curved into a 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐊 as she laid eyes on gabe, slightly amused by the reaction she got from him. once she’d allowed him to get over the initial surprise of seeing someone else in his house, she sauntered over to him, taking a slow sip of her drink. “i’m sorry, 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙖.” the woman apologised, feigning a pout as she looked at him. “hey, at least you can say i’m not boring.” she quipped, a light laugh eliciting her lips with ease.

holding out for hand, she raised a brow. “come on, give me some love.” the smirk on her face never faltered. she enjoyed their arrangement, and felt as though the man was good for her, a completely different side to her coming to light when she was around him. a softer, more affectionate side. though, the idea that she may have been developing 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 for him absolutely 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘥 her. “i missed you, g. i couldn’t stay away. please don’t be mad at me...”

honestly, it wasn’t 𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐋 ava had gained entrance to the house that she began to realise what she was even doing. there she was, bobby pin in hand as she sat on gabe’s couch, fresh from picking the lock. sure, it was technically breaking and entering, but the blonde knew the man wouldn’t mind, after all he knew her well enough to know she was capable of anything. a total wildcard. anyone who came into contact with the feisty bulgarian knew that by now.

considering the deed was done and she was there, all alone, waiting for the man to come home, she decided to fix herself a drink. she wandered towards the bar, grabbing hold of one of the glasses, pouring the amber liquid inside. she was in her own little world until she heard the sound of the keys turning in the door. at that, she turned around with the glass in hand. “well, hello 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧.”
