              since pulling his tank top back on , scott sat up in the bed that he had earlier been tangled in the sheets with , with the woman that was currently getting dressed herself. he hated himself every time he answered the phone , he also hated how correct zoey was each time he would call after autumn would leave. zoey hated the way scott wore his heart on his sleeve , hated how he would be putty in the berry’s hands. ‘‘ this is getting boring , autumn. ’’ he finally stated , eyes focusing on the sheets instead of looking up towards her. growing up without a father , and losing his mother , everett had been the closest thing he had to a father figure. everett , he was the first person to teach scott that he was capable of having emotions outside of anger. ‘‘ can’t keep doing this bullshit. ’’

Putting up no protest, Scott let his lips move against hers for a few moments before pulling back and smirking up at her. “Well, someone was prepared, weren’t they?”

Taking his jacket off his body and leaving it on it’s usual place by the door – the fastest place to grab it on his way out – he made his way over to the bed before sliding his body under the covers next to her. “Better?”
