𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚞𝚖𝚗 𝚛𝚘𝚜𝚎

I’m sat at my computer trying to find jobs. I’ve started to ask myself, where do I actually SEE myself in the next few years? I’m not sure how to answer this specifically. I see myself happy, with Joe and my pets (August, Phoebe, and Boone). I see myself living in a house instead of an apartment, in a cute town that doesn’t have a lot of traffic but with loads of trees. Our house has a nice yard. I have a big window near my desk and I can see the leaves blowing in the wind and the neighbors walking their dog. I’m content working from home at my computer. I’m not bothered that I’m alone and that my teammates are also working from home. Working from home has never bothered me.

I get to do loads of research on new topics to write about, like wellness, finding happiness, how to live your most creative life, how to take the leap, all that jazz. I’m meeting with other creatives in the area because they’re inspiring to me and I get to learn about what they’re doing int he community. I write articles about them and their efforts in the community. I’m working with a designer to finish putting together a publication with individuals from the community and all over that are inspiring and life changing, really target the individuals in my same age group to continue living their best life.

I get to walk outside my back porch and smell a bonfire going on, while Boone plays in the yard and August is roaming around. Phoebe is just sat on the patio because she doesn’t like to go anywhere. I’m drinking coffee, finishing up my day and it’s only 2pm. I started at 10am. 

I finish my coffee and start my yoga routine to end my work day. What a great way to end a work day, I tell myself. I finish yoga, and check the kitchen for items for dinner. I make a list on what I need, and start walking to the store. It isn’t far, maybe a few blocks away. i bring my reusable bags and grab a few items from the store. I know the person at the register: how are you doin’ today Leah? How’s work?  It’s great, I finished an amazing article about this artist in Switzerland, and her work is just amazing. I have an elopement to photograph tomorrow that’s nearby, so that’ll be fun. -- Is my response. 

I get home and prep dinner when Joe comes home. He lays his stuff on the sofa and helps me finish dinner. We talk about our day and all the exciting plans we have for the weekend: hiking with Boone, going fishing, probably go see a movie. Then we settle in for the evening and watch Netflix, and I continue to write.
