ik it’s been established that austin had a crush on piper b4 before any moves were made. to add on to that, i think it was the typical situation where they both liked each other, but they always skirted around an actual admittance like tweens and teens do. there’d always be whispers and teasing amongst their friend groups. piper probably sent hadley to suss austin out during 5th period lunch to figure out what his deal was ( on a side note, i also headcanoned that piper and hadley once made a list of guys that were absolutely off limits in middle school and piper had austin on hers. yea, she’s a freak, but we knew that. roman saw seth on hadley’s list and listened to welcome to my life by simple plan all week? ). generally speaking tho, austin was probably piper’s 1st crush ( like in the minor childish sense). he let her borrow his 65 pack of crayons that her mother refused 2 buy in 1st grade and she was enamored for the rest of that week. she forgot about it until years later when they were actually in a relationship, but it was funny n nice 2 look back on.

austin kinda seems like he could be sickly? maybe austin has the worst luck and ends up getting a cold every year? sfsdkkds kidding. i think they both get sick a normal amount. i also think because of how long they’d been together, they’re both pretty good at taking care of the other. they’re both pretty in tune with each other’s needs, so it’s Natural. piper’s pretty doting, and would probably go all out. she’d make sure austin was hydrated and fed. she’d let him pick out whatever movie and tuck him in after he fell asleep thirty minutes into it. i can see austin maybe being the sort of boyfriend that has the essentials on hand when it’s that Time of the month. he comes armed with chocolate and other snacks. they both just Know.

yea! even though he likes 2 think of himself as a future ( indie ) rockstar of sorts, he’s a sucker for a Solid relationship. he loves intimacy, and the ability 2 just vibe with someone for hours on end. god, he loves relationships. he’d love to have one someday.

he was in love with a girl back home for a bit, lydia bauer. she was a Cool Chick, and he was sorta obsessed with the idea of being with her. they were friends first, and that’s when he fell in love with her ( or, at least, it felt that way ). at some point along the way, they ended up hooking up and after that, things got shaky for multiple of reasons. there was never any formal conclusion to it all, which sucked mostly bc he lost a Friend.
