imagine being forced into a really long group project for like 6 months in 7th grade and then you decide to leave to go to another school and then when you’re like halfway through high school the kids who you were forced to hang out with in 7th grade just start showing up at your school saying they’re your best friends and they love you and you have to go back to being friends with them. that’s what happened to sasuke

it’s like if you were doing a basketball unit in your gym class for a few months and the teacher assigned you teams, and since those were technically the only two people you ever really spoke to on a regular basis, they sort of became your friends by default. not because you actually like them or want to hang out with them outside of gym class. just because if you for some reason needed to say you had friends you would be like “these kids I play basketball with”. and then in high school you have these actual friends you actually hang out with and chose to be friends with because you wanted them as your friends, but then those kids from middle school gym class just were hanging on the window to your fucking precalculus classroom like “HEY COME HANG OUT WITH US AGAIN”
