MCD Fashion Part 6: Lady Irene
Imagines of the Minecraft Diaries characters' wardrobes if it was like a live-action period/fantasy piece.
Detail repetition (feel free to disregard):
A warning: in reality, the historical dating of these clothes are probably going to be all over the place but it's more just what I feel would fit, if in ignorance of accuracy.
And materially, some things will be more realistic and some will be more fantastical. Over the course of these there's probably going to be a lot of crossover in time eras and fashion but it's all in the fun of it sooooo...
The outfits will be taking some base inspiration from the original skins of Minecraft Diaries + Minecraft Diaries Rebirth.
***Also definitely a spoiler warning for like the whole series***
***+ warning for like images of bare feet in the context of footwear at the end***
This post is all about Lady Irene!
Please share this!!!!! As you resident vitiligan and fellow artist I am here to educate people on how to properly create a character with vitiligo and other things to keep in mind about the disorder.
Only 1% of the entire world’s population has vitiligo but I see so many artists making characters with it when they sometimes don’t even know what vitiligo is and pass it off as “skin pigmentation”. Like— what does that even mean??? XD
It’s not an aesthetic and it won’t get you “diversity points” so stop romanticizing vitiligo!
[Image description: a series of six digital images discussing vitiligo. All images are white or brown text on a tan background and are watermarked with "crow.queen.art." The second and third images have drawings as well.
First image: "Things to Consider When Making Characters with Vitiligo and Other Facts! By Someone Who Actually Has Vitiligo."
Second image: "Making Your Character(s): Identify the Type and Subtype (this will help determine placing): Type 1: Nonsegmental (most common): Occurs on both sides of the body, symmetrically. Forms over the course of a person's life. Spreads over time." A drawing of a person is shown with white patches on their eyes, mouth, neck, armpits, elbows, hands, hips, genital area, knees, and feet. The patches are the same on both sides of the body. "Type 2: Segmental (less common): Appears in one area of the body. Occurs in people after birth to age of ~21 where it spreads for a year then stops. Can be accompanied by the loss of pigment in hair follicles." A drawing of a person is shown with white patches on one arm and on the upper part of the chest near that arm. "Subtype 1: Localized (common): Appears in one or a few small areas on the body." Another drawing of a person is shown, this time with white patches on their neck and face. "Subtype 2: Generalized (most common): Appears in many areas on the body." This time the person has white patches on their face, chest, arm, hand, genital area, and legs. "Subtype 3: Universal (very rare) (not to be confused with albinism): Most original skin pigment is gone." The person show has mostly white skin, with pigmented areas on their head, shoulder, chest, elbow, hands, legs, and feet. "✔ Type and subtype. ❌ Type and type. ❌ Subtype and subtype."
Third image: "Making Your Character(s): Placing the Vitiligo: For both types, vitiligo mostly occurs where skin rubs together, where there's increased muscle activity, and around the joints. For example: around the eyes, mouth, armpits, elbows, hands, genital area, knees, and feet. Segmental vitiligo can stray from this pattern and may appear in places where movement is less; scalp, neck, forearms, etc. Vitiligo fills in over time so if your character is older or has had the condition for most of their life it will appear much patchier and faint around the edges." Below the text is a drawing showing two hands. One hand, labeled "new," shows white patches that are filled in and solid. The other hand, which is labeled "old," is mostly identical, but the patches cover less area. There are also segments within the white skin that have color, and the edges of the patches are faded. To the right of the text is a drawing of a person with text saying "nonsegmental localized." The person has vitiligo on their face and neck as well as around their armpits and across the upper chest.
Fourth image: "Vitiligo Facts: What is Vitiligo and Who Gets it?: Vitiligo is a skin disorder with the result of melanocytes (cells that produce melanin that give skin its color) suddenly and unexpectedly dying. It's speculated to be an autoimmune disease but there isn't enough evidence and lack of similarity for this theory to be confirmed. Age is the only factor that can determine what type a person may develop, but it doesn't determine if they do or if they don't get it over the course of their life. Gender and race are irrelevant. It is--of course--more noticeable in people with a darker complexion due to the obvious contrast, but that doesn't make them more susceptible to developing vitiligo. Like most skin diseases, disorders, and physical tumors, vitiligo is not contagious!!! Vitiligo does have a strong genetic link, but having the genes for it doesn't mean a person will develop it. It's usually set off by something in the environment or triggers stress on a cellular level; this then causes the body to attack the melanin cells. This is the reason why it's speculated to be an autoimmune disease."
Fifth image: "Vitiligo Facts: Other Skin Disorders and Diseases Similar to Vitiligo:
- Piebaldism: The most similar skin disorder to vitiligo, seen as pigment loss primarily on the scalp (turning hair follicles white) and parts of the face. The main difference is that piebaldism occurs before birth and is the result of a mother's trauma reflected on her child, regardless of if she had the skin condition or not. Piebaldism = before birth. Vitiligo = after birth.
- Halo Nevus: White patch of skin surrounding a mole. Benign and fairly common in children and young adults; occurring mostly on the chest and back. Typically only one or two.
- Nevus Anemicus: Looks similar to vitiligo but is in fact a capillary vascular malformation where some blood vessels have an increased sensitivity to adrenaline. This can cut off blood indefinitely and results in bloodless, white patches of skin.
- Idiopathic Guattate Hypomelanosis: Caused by sun exposure and is seen as very small white dots all over the body. Can be compared to a sky full of stars.
- Tinea Versicolor: A common fungal infection that occurs around the shoulders and torso. Looks very similar to vitiligo but is in fact caused by an overgrowth of yeast on the skin. Appears in many small white patches in a large area and isn't contagious but should be treated.
There are many other skin disorders and diseases that are frequently confused with vitiligo--like scarring--this is why it's extra important to do your research. Knowing what skin disorder you're representing in your art is key because they are all very different from each other and can even require treatment! It's not just skin pigmentation."
Sixth image: "Vitiligo's Relation to Trauma and Why it's not Your Aesthetic: As briefly mentioned before, vitiligo is set off by something in the environment or triggers stress on a cellular level. This can be anything from getting your arm chopped off to emotional neglect; it's usually something fairly big in terms of an event occurring in a person's life. I should note that the kind of trauma a person goes through does not correlate with the type of vitiligo a person develops. As I also mentioned before, piebaldism is also the result of trauma from the mother reflected on her child. Vitiligo should not be taken lightly nor romanticized so that means do your research!!!"
End description]
This is becoming popular in OCs lately so here’s a very good read on the subject!
"the most unrealistic thing about project hail mary is that a woman is in charge" WRONG look up the glass cliff. women are much more likely to be promoted to positions of power when things are going poorly and people need a woman to blame. she refers to herself as the "world's whipping boy." the person put in the position to have to commit ecological and humanitarian crimes of that scale in order to save the earth would only ever be a woman.

Little redesigns
*sighhh I miss seeing Amphitrite and Hera, I rarely see people mention them nowadays..💔
cmon guys show some love and respect for these 2 strong dominant queens
Poseidon's marriage part 1
Some concept art for younger versions
I draw this in the begining of february and posted it on patreon. Part 2 is also in patreon
what are the relationships between the married gods? You stated that both Poseidon and Zeus are majestic sluts, and Amphitrite has her own lovers to deal with it, but is there still love between them? We all know Zeus is a manhwore, but does he still care for Hera and her for him? He seemed upset when someone tried to get with her, and she's angry when he cheats, but is it just a pride thing?
Also, can we get Hades and Persephone designs? :3
Zeus is very much in love with Hera and she loves him too but he's a cheating bastard and she hates him for that but they are bound together for eternity so they are stuck in a toxic cycle of love angst and hate. He would be infuriated if she was courted by another man cause of jealousy and double standards (he's a misogynistic idiot)
Poseidon loves Amphitrite and doesn't feel betrayed when she sleeps with other women cause he thinks gay sex is not serious for women . Amphitrite hates his cheating ass but will never tell him that she is jealouse of the women and horses he fucks. Poseidon is very possessive tho which makes it hard for amphi to hate him completely ITS COMPLICATED
So yeah they are in toxic love relationships
ANYWAYS HERE'S MY PERSEPHONE DESIGN 🎀💕💅🏻🪦
My Greek Gods designs for now. Still working on it. Wanna do all of them but I’m stuck🥹
I’m stuck with Aphrodite. She looks like this and I don’t really know how to finish it. Something is off, and I’m working on it since Christmas (maybe). Idk, I lost spark🥲
I'm back in the MCD shaped building again
Also hello this is my first tumblr post ever :3 I somehow managed to fall head first back into this old hyperfixation after nearly a decade

Fight Little wolf FIGHT! Telemachus draw
Telemachus may be tired, but he won't give up
Antinous honest REACTION:
I've made a lot of fanart for these guys recently since finishing university so I'm gonna be posting all of them in the next coming days lmfao
If Garrancemau has no supporters then I'm d e a d. I love them so much, this silly little throuple has taken over my life in ways I did not think were possible.
I'm gonna yap about them rq because they're so special to me:
I always imagine each of them having something to keep them close with the others. Like Laurance has Aph and Garroth's hair braided into his own. Garroth has beads of each of their colours in a necklace he keeps under his collar. Aphmau has each of their colours decorating her hair in different ways like hair beads, hair clips, and ribbons.
They make me sick in a sugar overdose kind of way 💚
HALLOOOO! IM BACK WITH ART
THIS IS Berserk Technoblade (thx ost from Doom The Dark Ages AND Doom Eternal) I absolutely OBSESSED with his design

hello! this very basic bitch of me, but do you have any recommendations for books centered on lancelot and guinevere’s relationship? i am just now truly diving into arthurian legends and i have yet to come across something that really depicts that angsty forbidden love, assuming that that does exist? thank you 🩵
Hey there!
First of all welcome to Arthurian Legends!
Secondly on my pinned post I have a whole page dedicated to media recommendations. There I have a list for Queens (including Guinevere) as well as Lancelot!
As for books that include the two of them at their best and most forbidden, I suggest starting with the Medieval Literature.
Knight of the Cart by Chretien de Troyes
Vulgate Cycle (NOT Post-Vulgate, yes it's different)
I don't recommend Le Morte d'Arthur by Sir Thomas Malory for this, he was allergic to intimacy so while his fights are awesomely gory, his Guinevere/Lancelot leave a lot to be desired in my opinion.
And for modern retellings, I recommend the following:
Launcelot & Guenevere by Richard Hovey
Guinevere, The Chessboard Queen, & Guinevere Evermore by Sharan Newman (content warning for incest and rape in book 3)
A Camelot Triptych by Norris J. Lacy
You may find other lists that include the books by T. H. White, Marion Zimmer-Bradley, Persia Woolley, or Bernard Cornwell, but they're so misogynistic, I don't recommend them at all. (Not to mention the excessive rape and pedophilia in all of them, completely unnecessary, trust me.)
There are other books that feature a very tragic affair, such as in the trilogy by Gillian Bradshaw, but in that case, Lancelot has been replaced with Bedwyr, so I'm not counting it.
Furthermore I might also suggest the films and tv shows mentioned in the Guinevere and Lancelot lists linked above, there far more to choose from there than there are novels, in my opinion.
But that's what I got for you! Happy reading!
I swear... Mordred and Guinevere are so unhinged for each other in this 16th century Cornish play (that is titled Bewnans Ke). 😆These two, honestly.
