Yanderedev is 31 years old now.

That means he hasn’t been a teenager since 2009.

That means that most of those old “pre-Yanderedev” screenshots that Gremlins are squawking over are from 2009, or even earlier. Most Gremlins probably aren’t even old enough to remember 2009, let alone what the internet culture was like back then.

The closest thing you had to social media was MySpace and (maybe) Facebook. Twitter wasn’t very well-known yet, and Youtube was just a place where people uploaded their personal videos. Most teenagers — and even some preteens, including myself — were still using online forums, message boards, and chat rooms, and each website had their own unique emoticons and status quos and general formatting quirks.

Hell, even the infamous “Yanderedev face meme” (before it was photoshopped) was just a normal 2009-era selfie that Dev posted on GaiaOnline. Kids today probably don’t even know what GaiaOnline is. And unless their first cell phone was an iPhone 3G or earlier, I doubt they have any idea how crappy phone cameras were back then, either.

And I haven’t even gotten into the general social climate of 2009 — we’re talking about a time when being gay or trans was still considered controversial, when mental health wasn’t as openly talked about and mental illness wasn’t as widely understood, when most people could still afford to brush off politics and real-world events in most conversations. In the 2000’s, the internet was just a place for chatting with friends, playing games, and escaping the real world for awhile. News, political activism, and social justice movements really didn’t become prominent on the internet until ~2014, when Twitter popularized the concept of hashtags and trending topics.

after all , a lot of the screenshots are actually personal messages that are kinda illegal and unethical to post or use without permission. let alone posting them out of context.

also , hating someone is one thing , but digging up shit from more than a decade ago and tearing a person apart for it is a whole other level . not to mention the unbearable harassment that accompanies every single screenshot.

Decided to redo my Yansim Rival Redesigns! I tried to make these less of something that was just “i just like it like this” and more something that i feel could be official? I tried, hehe! ^^; 

Anyway, the info for the redesigned ideas and whatnot are in their cards! I have the rest of the Rivals (except Muja Kina and Mida Rana) all sketched out, but i just finished Amai’s card and i’m heading out for a bit, and i’m pretty proud of these so far! I’m gonna continue the rest of the cards when i get back to my PC! Hope you guys enjoy these in the meantime! :D

So... I did not hallucinate?

I started working on a game mostly made with Pokemon Essentials- Essentials has about 90%-100% of the game already coded for you (depending on if you add anything) and all you have to do is take those codes and place them where you want them. It still took me a year and a half to make a game that you can finish in an hour. YanDev has to figure this shit out by himself.
