The OPLA writers are doing me a huge favor as a shipper because Buggy having to mention Shanks in every single appearance with that same bitter I-can’t-get-over-my-ex tone and projecting all his frustration onto Luffy in such an OBVIOUS way gives me the doomed yaoi angst I need as a person who has Shuggy as their OTP in this damn universe, thank you.

The more unhinged OPLA Buggy becomes, the funnier Shuggy as a ship becomes because who'd have thought cool, heroic, stand-up citizen Shanks has a thing for crazy bitches with very, very questionable morals!

Shanks is one of the funniest characters in media. Like he’s hyped up as one of the strongest and coolest character in the world. Then when you finally learn more about him and he’s like clinically depressed and wants to sail off into the sunset with a literal fucking clown. What a guy.
