I don’t post adult content, but I know and follow a lot of blogs that do. If you don’t like the changes @staff wants to make regarding NSFW imagery, be sure to let them know!

Is there an ideal body type? No! Do most women feel that there is? I would guess, Yes! I know I personally struggle with feeling sexy even though I don’t fit the mold of what is “ideal sexy”. Tumblr has taught me that most men are actually attracted to a huge range of body types and that’s great… but I still feel insecure.

The truth is that if you seek to be validated by others, you will always feel insecure. You will always find an “out”. It’s the outfit. It’s my shapewear. It’s the lighting, make up, angle of the picture. Its the filter or the photoshop. It’s not actually about me.

I have for a few weeks now been challenged by the motto: Empowered women, empower other women! I have spent time reaching out and encouraging women on Tumblr but also in my day to day life. However, I stopped and realized that I don’t do the same for myself!!

I don’t spend time telling myself that I am beautiful and sexy. Even typing those words are hard for me. Why is that?? I know many of us already know these things that I am saying, but I felt that I needed to say them. My naughty corner has been a sort of “diary” for me.

If maybe even one lady, reads this and decides to give herself some grace and stop nitpicking at every little detail that she doesn’t like about her appearance, than I will be happy! Yes, let’s work out (yikes, I need to do this), eat healthy, buy cute clothes, wear pretty make up, get highlights in our hair and all the other fun things we do but let’s do it because we want to be our best version! Let’s do it loving ourselves and not trying to cover up what we don’t like.

I’m putting this out there so I can hold myself accountable. Others empower me and are amazingly gracious with me… but it’s time I do that for myself as well!!
