"It’s all through plastic surgery. Frankly, I think it’s a little ridiculous, but I think the hair dye is pretty cool." I smiled and nodded. "That’s good! Training can be very fun too. Then when you train you can work up an appetite for all that delicious Capitol food!"
I laughed at the idea of my siblings being like animals. “I’d say I’m probably the wildest one out of all of them, they’re a little bit more calm!” I’d been fidgeting with that same strand of hair for a while, staying knelt down in one spot was grating on my attention span. “It does! Some big, huge, ones and some little tiny ones too! One year there were big wolves and another had big coyotes and even bears.”
His calling of our training centre a date was like someone had turned my heart into a big puddle of goo. “That sounds good,” I said with a laugh. “It’s a date. Shake on it?” I held out my hand to him teasingly. I was trying not to focus on the fact that the first person to ever ask me out on a date was a twelve year-old kid in the Hunger Games who would be lucky not to leap off his own platform by tripping over his shoelaces.
I really liked North but I knew I shouldn't spend too much time chatting with her. I shook her outstretched hand with a smile. "Sorry North but I should go. See you tomorrow for our date?" With that I flashed her one last smile and skipped off.
