The last resting place of Robert Hall looked small and lonely. There were no flowers or any other decorations on it or anywhere else in the room. The entire place just looked so hopelessly bleak and sad. Audrey grabbed Siegfried’s hand and stood immobile for a moment, trying to gather herself. After a short little inner prayer, feeling the support from both her fiancé and from above, she found her strength and unwrapped the flowers she had been bringing with her from Darrowby, hellebore, ivy and pensées tied together to a beautiful bouquet with a purple ribbon. She placed it with great care on the coffin.
