Bare with me here, I am still processing this but I thought it might help to start writing some of it down so here we go...

BE PRESENT - These two words have been running through my mind the past few weeks. I don’t know about you but I can get so caught up in living in the future; focusing more on what I want to achieve and what I don’t have more than the blessings that the Lord has already placed in my life. To be honest its a spiritual issue, one of selfishness and pride. Its a place in my life that I am being humbled in.

These dreams that I daydream about, I know they are ones placed on my heart for a specific reason and purpose, that will happen but my impatience gets the best of me. Even though I am living a life I always prayed for, one that was given to me through the goodness of the Lord and one that perfectly describes his faithfulness, my lack of faith in our ever faithful God takes over. I am so quick to forget this faithfulness because I am stuck living in my future dreams that have yet to come into fruition. In these moments I remind myself (at least I try) of the faithfulness of God. BE PRESENT in his faithfulness. I am not saying not to pursue your dreams and passions. God wants you to this. He wants to see us grow and change into who he is making us but in the middle of that pursuance, don’t forget what you already have. BE PRESENT; take a look at your life and see His goodness. Let that refill your faith. Be intentional in your community, your family, your relationships. For an introvert like me, this is exhausting but I am slowly realizing its life giving. We weren’t meant to chase the path God has for us alone. He places us in communities, he gives us relationships that help us grow, encourage us in this race, and run along side us. We aren’t meant to do life alone, BE PRESENT where you are. Don’t be afraid to lay some roots down. And while being present in your community, your heart becomes more open and sensitive to those around you. It could be a chance to minister to your coworker, to bring a smile to the cashier at your local grocery store, encourage a friend, or even just listen to a neighbor who needs to talk. Whatever it may be, if you live in the present, your heart will become more sensitive to the presence of God. And in that sensitivity, His goodness will overflow.

Enter into His fullness everyday. BE PRESENT and rejoice in His goodness and faithfulness that overflows in your life.
