âFeels like Iâve been living in a dream, but never make it to the end.â
Miss Aubreyâs story began twenty-three years ago in the town of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born to a father who was well-known among the residents of Jonesboro as an EMT, and a mother who led the womenâs Sunday school group, Aubrey was the last of four children. Most people associate the baby as being the most spoiled, but none of the Pierce siblings were ever favored over the other â in fact, most of them relied on Aubrey during anything emotional. She was their shoulder to cry on, and she had the intuition to tell whenever something was off.
Aubrey dipped her toes into the dating pool as soon as she turned sixteen. Influenced by her older siblings and all that trashy teenage drama on the TV, she thought it was the norm to have a relationship at all times. Unfortunately, Aubrey more often than not took the relationships more seriously than her partners. While most of her boyfriends just considered her a fling, Aubrey was already planning their wedding and childrenâs names by the third date. She became that creepy, obsessive type of girlfriend who always had to be in her boyfriendâs business. She just couldnât understand why they never reciprocated her actions. To her, they just didnât love her as much as she loved them.
Other than her crazy-ex girlfriend nature, Aubrey approaches people with compassion and a genuine desire to help. Thatâs one of the reasons why she attended the University of Arkansas as an early education major, hoping to be a positive influence on the younger generation. But that wasnât the only reason Aubrey attended the school â during one of her campus tours she happened to catch the eye of another interested applicant, and he too ended up falling into a relationship with the blonde. His name was Ralph and the couple had a on-again-off-again, toxic type of relationship all throughout college. Aubrey always had her suspicions about him and his odd behavior, and finally during their last year, Ralph confessed his secret â he had been cheating on her. At first, Aubrey took the news as if it were an excuse. Ralph was THE one, he couldnât be cheating on her. It wasnât until he showed up at their apartment to gather his things with the other woman on his arm did Aubrey realize what heâd been doing behind her back for all those years.
After graduation, Aubrey immediately applied to any job opening she could get as far away from Arkansas as she could. She wasnât a full-blown teacher as she had planned, but she was thrilled she even landed the job in Devinstone. This was the perfect starting point for planting some roots in her new home and finding a place in the community. But for now, itâs just her and her little apartment in Braeswood.
