I hope we see more of him, there's so little to go off of for his character.
Toge doesn't trust his mastery of his technique enough to date anyone he wasn't certain beyond the shadow of a doubt could survive a slip-up of his cursed words. A sorcerer you must be, preferably stronger than him. He's too afraid of accidentally murdering a civilian.
No one better than him knows the power of words. Nevertheless, he can't compliment nor affirm you with his own voice, much to his chagrin.
Can't call you pet names either, but you're saved as a heap of heart emojis in his phone.
Texts so much. Holy shit. Walls upon walls of every thought, every detail that reminds him of you, every joke he thinks you'll laugh at, every moment he wants to share. He more than makes up for his unavailable speech.
A secret of his is a secret of yours. Nothing hidden, nothing concealed, bar the most private information. And of course, he hopes for transparency from you too.
Mementos are important to him. A picture of you in his phone case, a scarf you knitted, pretty rocks that resemble your eyes. He hoards every gift like it's treasure (it is, he defends, because it's from the one he loves). Price doesn't matter, as long as there's heart in it.
Overall, an optimistic boy.
Supports you in your hobbies and every endeavour. Inumaki cheerleads like he was born for it, despite just repeating salmon at you.
Not a fan of physical contact beyond handholding and perhaps leaning on each other. Hugs are off-limits in public, though he'll indulge you when no one's around.
Read to him! He loves your voice, loves being with and near you, loves sharing such an intimate activity as a cherished book.
Can a boy who's mostly mute give the silent treatment?
If upset, he won't even say ingredients. You judge how bad you fucked up by how sparse his texts become. Usually, he sends a comprehensive explanation of what bothered him after a day or so; any more than that and you should worry for your relationship.
Mind you, it would take a serious betrayal for that to happen. He's fairly logical about his fights, and won't squabble over petty cookie-stealing.
Minuscule issues, he won't even mention. Not worth the potential escalation and yelling.
If you put your wellbeing at risk to kill a curse? Especially if it's to save him? Inumaki couldn't be more freaked out. He'd give his life for you, but who gave you the right to do the same, huh?
It's resolved fast, albeit tearfully.
He's a peaceable roommate, demanding little more than tranquil joy.
