Song is Bejing by Rocket Empire Filmed in philly area, nova, and DC. Was an awesome month with fantastic weather. Very happy to be going outside again. 2 ovarian cancer walks, a foam race, Herndon Fair, Mexican wrestling Cinco De Mayo event, Indian Heritage festival, VNV nation concert, Reston Art Festival, and Cousin's high school graduation party o and I got a kitten today. Off to a good start for June Going to go the bed now. :)

Finally. A little late, but here is my January video. This month was a struggle, mentally. Being super busy with design had caused other areas of my life to be pushed to the side. It didn't help that the weather had given me a bad case of cabin fever. Making these videos are a lot of fun. It really bugged me that I did not have the time to finish this at the end of January. These videos mean a lot to me and are a great way to look back on what I have done. I am super pumped to make a giant one year collage of videos in July. I exhale in different ways. By going to the gym, designing, editing videos together of what i do every month is another way of how I exhale. I am really happy I started this project. So here is to making it through the worst month!

December was pretty fun. Lots of wrestling and lots of baking. Filming seems to get harder and harder in the winter. But, just means I'll have to get more creative.

This is November. I am trying to adjust to the cold weather and darker days. This month has been busy with unpacking and freelance design work. But I am still trying to reach my goal of 12month videos. The video was shot in Frederick, Reston, DC, Rosslyn, Zerns, and at my grandmas house.

October 2013! So.....pretty much 98% of this is Canada. I had a difficult time capturing october. Much of the month was spent packing and unpacking into my new apartment...and thats not very interesting to film. Canada was great! We spent 4 days in Montreal and Quebec City to collect stock footage. It was a pretty cool way to see the area.

SEPTEMBER! Full screen it! Was really great. It was simple, fun and beautiful. I started the month off with a Cat Convention. Flew to Louisville for my cousins wedding. Went to the Great Frederick Fair. This weekend was suppose to be a Mud Run (cancelled) and a monster convention, but I didn’t film that.
Anyhoo. The main portion of this was my cousins wedding. It was beautiful. I’m really lucky to be apart of such a strong, supportive family.
So, I am going to ramble while vimeo uploads the september video, (jk its on youtube because Vimeo was being lame). I’m not trying to be a “Studio” film maker. I really dont care about depth of field or lighting. These videos are like my journals. I just want to captures moments in my life.
The other day I found an old video camera that I completely forgot I had. I was looking through the videos on it and there were shots from my college graduation. I saw a 3 second shot of my mom walking up towards the building. It was a shot of her back and it was shaky. Even though the composition was bad and difficult to see. It means the world to me just to see it. It’s details like that, that make me want to continue doing this.
I want to capture moments that I would have forgotten otherwise. And with this practice, I’m sure I’ll become less shaky. The Song is called "Mike Tyson" by Squabz

So this is August 2013. It was pretty chill. But I still got to hang with some of my friends that I dont see very often. Started out at the beach, did the ROC race, saw my friends band, The Vens Play, and just hanging with pals. The song is a little depressing. But I just like the vive. July 2013! Took me a while, but I finally got back into the groove. I feel like I have grown up alot since the original October 2011 video. And I am starting to see it visually. This footage was captured everywhere! Warrenton Va, Sterling, Pittsburgh, Rochester, and Philly. It was a busy month full of awesome fun. I met alot of new people and hung out with family. I went Sky diving! And it was incredible! I feel like now, whenever I am about to do something scary, I think, "Psh, you went sky diving. If you can jump out of a plane at 120mph, 12,500 up in the air....you can do anything!" We also went to the Frank Lloyd Wright, Falling Waters, home which was beautiful. While up there we visited my cousin in Pitt for 4th of July. It was great to see her family (+sugar gliders) again. I also went up with my aunts and grandma to rochester ny to visit family. It was really cool! I wish I could have stayed longer. We checked out the George Eastman house (kodak kingpin). Finished the month off with the color run in Philly with my brother, cousin, and her friends.

So...February was great. But Stressful. I look back on this video and its awkward. I was really happy I was getting into a habit of making a video every month. However this was my last for a while. Some things happened in March of 2012 that distracted me from filming. ...In June though, I went to Italy with my uncles family. I decided to capture some of my emotions into that trip. January 2012. It was good. But I lost the first 2 weeks of footage. Which realllllllly sucks because I had ALOT of video of my mom. Anyways, Much of this is of when I visited Shepherd and when my friend Henry and I had to go out to Fort Leonard wood Missouri for work. Probably the most boring area ever. But we tried to make fun. The band here is Crystal Castles.

November 2011 was good! But I felt like I rushed my editing. Or that I didnt capture enough footage. I was really scrambling to fill in some gaps. This was mainly captured in Frederick and Reston/Great Falls/Sterling area. And in PA! The band is El Ten Eleven.
This is where it all started. I always preferred watching home videos over pictures. I love being able to hear someones voice, and see them smile. I had seen people do a "picture a day for a year" on social media, and I always wanted to do something of the sorts. I think its a great way to document events in your life that you could have easily forgotten. I decided to take a different approach and capture everything by seasons. However, I had gotten so much in just October, that I decided to go by months. This is October 2011. I had just graduated college in May and started a new job in June. Alot of the footage is of Shepherd and Frederick. I had bought a 30$ fisheye adaptor for my camera that was really terrible, but it started my obsession for fisheye lenses :P About 70% of this video actually happened in one weekend. John and I went to shepherd, snuck into a random football game, ate outside at Blue Moon Cafe (with the cats!) wondered around the river and then came back to baker park and stumble upon a huge Girl Scout event.
