I’m always astonished by a forest. It makes me realize that the fantasy of nature is much larger than my own fantasy. I still have things to learn.

There is nothing more beautiful than nature early in the morning.

Ancient Alphabets. Thedan Script - used extensively by Gardnerian Witches Runic Alphabets - they served for divinatory and ritual purposes, as well as the more practical use; there are three main types of Runes; Germanic, Scandinavian/Norse, and Anglo-Saxon and they each have any number of variations, depending on the region from which they originate Celtic and Pictish - early Celts and their priests, the Druids, had their own form of alphabet known as “Ogam Bethluisnion”, which was an extremely simple alphabet used more for carving into wood and stone, than for general writing, while Pictish artwork was later adopted by the Celts, especially throughout Ireland Ceremonial Magick Alphabets - ”Passing the River”, ”Malachim” and ”Celestial” alphabets were used almost exclusively by ceremonial magicians
And into the forest I go, to lose my self and find my soul.

En oväntad glänta // by atmosfære on Tumblr
The forest cries out to me, time to come home. Wander, take inspiration, and write about my beauty it says. Come home, my child. The birds will sing for you, leaves will rustle, and the wolves howl. Come home, and I will heal you.
The wilderness strips us of competition and comparison and invites us into a state of peaceful awe. It also offers a reflection of our individual relationship with life versus being just a mere part of the human race. Who are you without people? You may just find this answer in the wild.
Tanya Lee Markul
Friendly reminder that nature is wonderful, and that you should get out there more often!
I got up early this Sunday morning and went for an 11 km walk around the lake. I saw the first mushrooms peeking out, which means that my favourite time of the year has come around. There is something special about the smell of the forest in late summer.
I miss summer and hiking

Ofta känns skuggan verkligare än kroppen // by atmosfære on Tumblr
lol nope can't do this.
I'm five minutes into sorting through the Norway photos, and the urge to just pack up and go back is too strong. Help.
The process of sorting through photographs and selecting the best ones for telling tales of the Norwegian land, and particularly my journey through it, has begun.
Back when I regularly updated the blog, I had begun pretty much exclusively naming my photographs and series in Old Norse. I've chosen to abandon this style for this particular series. Instead, the photohraphs of the Norway-series will all be named after words, sentences or entire passages from the poetry of Tomas Tranströmer, all in their original language, Swedish.
Naming my Norway-series in Swedish may seem a bit odd, but Tranströmer - who is my all time favourite poet, by the way - inspired much of the wanderlust, introspection, curiousity and longing towards nature that prompted me to journey Norway by myself in the first place. Tranströmer always helps me travel back to the Norwegian forests through his universe of words, and so I chose his poetry to try to enable you guys to experience what I experienced in Norway. I may or may not decide to post English translations along with some of it, but if this isn't the case, there are some very useful translations on Google.
As always, and mostly for my newer followers, my photographs really aren't masterful works of art and fine technique, but rather snapshots trying to capture the world as I experience it. I hope that you will enjoy whatever it is that I come up with.
Maybe you are searching among branches for what only appears in the roots.
