okay, jokes aside - i'm actually pretty bad at descriptions like this (and honestly with words in general)

restrained and calm, the emotional control joke goes somewhere around here, genuinely grumpy but more in a snarky way (+kind of sarcastic ok), used to relying only on himself -> trust issues, values people close to him more than himself, shows care almost entirely through actions rather than words -> but underneath all of that he's still a very kind/supportive person who just doesn't come across that way immediately

the kind of guy who doesn't know how to ask for help/often leaves things unsaid

i won't go too deep into things like his very clear personal convictions/'deeply angry at the system' -> there are reasons for the inner rigidity

-> which ties into the snark/sharp tone takes, because i think he enters conflict openly and directly, but doesn't always see the point in trying to prove things to people (you either get it or you don't)

which makes him pretty principled and, in some sense, kind of a moralist, except his understanding of morality is very personal

....which sometimes leads to situations where he's a bit too convinced he knows 'what's best'

i think he's also very observant/attentive, always thinks about consequences, and is really good at flexible planning
