Sabina: Honestly not fair to compare the others to her because she’s royalty and grew up with full-time stylists and wardrobes full of incredible gowns that get discarded after one wear. Always elegant, luxurious and deceptively simple. Hair styles are to die for. Capable of turning it up a notch (golden gown with all their names embroidered on it!!) but more “timelessly elegant” than “innovative.” 9/10

Syora: Before the wlw come for me let me just say, I’m AWARE the sweaty dusty travel-worn black ensembles are hot, HOWEVER, being a swaggery ghost-eater who wears all black to disguise the fact that she doesn’t know how to match colors does not a “fashion sense” make. 3/10 looks good but that’s accidental

Chrona: Also wears a lot of black but they always have cool details that show you she dresses up for assassinations, even when no one else is supposed to see her. she takes this seriously. Her wrapped cloak? Divine. And when she goes in disguise to assassinate people? She’s always the best-dressed there, which shows her Commitment to style because she should be going under the radar but she’s just too stylish. That golden chain she accessorizes her antlers with? Genius. 8/10 should be given more opportunities to flex her style

Mavishe: just wears her sage robe all the time, total cop out. it’s not even cute. like add some embroidery to the cuffs?? kilt up the skirts in a new way?? make an effort??? even when she disguises herself as a civilian it’s always super basic. her night robe is kinda a Look though she should lean into that 2/10

Byron: Yes he’s in the basic soldier uniform a lot, but have you noticed that his are always more tight and tailored than other soldiers? You know he’s altering his uniforms at night while moping about his tragic backstory so that he can look good from all angles when he faints at Willian’s feet again. 5/10 doing his best with what he has. do NOT @ me about his hair

reasons the writers killing her off was a travesty:

the concept of a noble whose family fell so far that she had to become a servant is incredibly good and should have been explored more

one time she misheard what Sabina said so she’s clearly hoh-coded

the only time Mavishe ever had a personality was when she and Dorna bonded over feeling like their lives are overshadowed by their heritage

if she had lived she would snapped Sabina out of going to war with Wylbir in SECONDS

willian: himbo, but becomes the smart one by default when he’s with syora and byron

mavishe: has a brain, uses it

lordine: smart, but can be peer-pressured into dumbassery

jember: has exactly two brain cells, can generate a coherent thought if they rub together in just the right way

sabina: has a normal amount of brain cells, but does dumb shit because she’s under pressure
