I m p e r f e c t

Her heart becomes heavy as she stops upon entering a hearth glancing behind her. Lilac hues glistening in the dark and sharpening to see. Fingers choke against the fabric of her sweater as she somehow feels as though this will keep her from transforming, that if she somehow cuts circulation off from the neck down she can regain control. But there is a heartbeat throbbing in her ears and she fears the worst is about to happen. She can scaresely get her breath out as she stumbles away from her companion.*

I can't do that miss, it's a pet's job to protect their owner...n-not that this has anything to do with that but you did save my life and so because of this I want to repay my debt and protect you from whatever evil resides in there.
