I don’t know what’s gotten into me but I’ve become increasingly obsessed with Eugene from the walking dead with each episode I watch that he’s in. I’m on my first watch of the show and I’m (finally and begrudgingly) a quarter of the way through season 11 and I find Eugene so fascinating in this season and in the seasons leading up to it. I love the subtle way he was able to manipulate people, not for any greater goal or to hurt others, but really just for his own survival. He feels real because of it. Him in season 7 and 8 is probably my favourite iteration of him because of him basically sacrificing himself and joining the saviours to save his own people, saying the same lie he told Abraham and Rosita, doing jack shit while he was there, and then tampering with their bullets in the finale of season 8. I don’t really remember or care about what happened in s9, I didn’t like it and think it’s the worst season of the show. Season 10 was when it all came to me, seeing his relationship with Rosita kinda fall apart and not be what it once was as they both grew a part was really touching, it feels like they could have had something but sadly she wasn’t interested. But in that time apart Eugene established a radio connection to the commonwealth and found his fake radio girlfriend (that should be me). And when he has a date with his radio girlfriend he travels out with Ezekiel and Yumiko (random ass group) to meet her and they meet Princess and they all get captured. Seeing Eugene constantly freak out during the s11 double episode premiere was so crazy he said everything (like saying he’s a virgin and a perv to these strangers is wild) and was so vulnerable in that moment because he of course thought it was his fault again when it really wasn’t (it kinda was but don’t say that). I don’t know he’s really moe to me.

Finally finished uploading all of my first superbat fic “Play the Game” on ao3! It’s my longest fic to date which I’m really proud of.
