So I was at a conference on Tuesday and they have food reps and stuff there and I actually asked like wtf. And he literally said that yeah it makes no sense but they sent out a survey and 97% of pet owners wanted a grain free option for their rabbits and small furries so they were just like I mean sure, if you’re gonna buy it, we’ll make it 😓

Perspective
How I viewed 4th-5th year vet students back in pre-vet and first year: Gods among men. They must be perfect students, I mean….. these people made it through ANATOMY. Quiver before them, for they know their shit and will enter the workforce ready to fucking go.
How I now look at myself, a 5th year vet student: Oh no. They’re probably going to let me graduate in a year. Who let this happen???? I’m not in a position to provide veterinary care. I am but a lowly potato. A lowly FOETUS potato. I can barely care for myself. What the fuck even is a horse? Send help.
How I look at myself now, a 5th year procrastinating studying: Oh no. graduation is in 10 weeks. I’m not in a position to tell people what to do with their animals. I am but a lowly potato, a foetus potato whose concept of self care is fundamentally flawed and needs to get off tumblr and actually fuckin’ study some shit so I know what a horse even is.... Send help and chocolate brownies.
I have an issue with the way you and many other blogs ran by vets talk to some of the “normal” people on here. If we’re bringing up an issue in YOUR profession, shouldn’t you respond kindly and with thought and in a professional way rather than with swearing and inappropriate comments.. “miss me with that bs”. I wouldn’t come to you if you were the vet in my area...

I honestly, really don’t think I have it in me today to reply to this as “appropriately” as you want.
I’m tired. I’m really really emotionally tired.
Yeah you’re right, were monsters. We’re rude, money grabbing awful people who only go into an insanely difficult, emotionally-ruining profession just for the money and so we can appear high and mighty.
We need to be vets and nurses all the time just so we can listen kindly to comments from anonymous people on the internet and nod politely despite how shit those comments might make you feel.
We’re totally not just normal people who have lives and struggles and pets and issues of our own.
