I THINK jade is a bit more aggressive than a normal aeth, which lean toward isolationist tendencies. like, few people in the galaxy know they exist, just as sort of ancient legends. they serve as kind of space mermaids. don’t really interact with the beings of the galaxy, just kind of watch them, but they’ve been known to steer a failing ship away from a black hole and whatnot

but she was thrown to land, and a normal aeth might have remained in isolation and not sought out the people on the planet, but she did

there’s a superstition that each aeth born has the stardust of another aeth who died and returned to dust. like if a leader aeth faded to dust, another aeth born might be of the dust of that aeth, so they have the stuff of a leader that other more ancient aeth recognize in them. so jade was seen to be made up of leader stardust, but maybe she Wasn’t

she was simply bolder than most

and she Knows what killed her people, and she’s PISSED. in mcu verse, it was thanos. in mass effect, it was the reapers. so she’s the last remaining one at this time, but because aeth are created on their own rather than through biological reproduction, she Knows more will be created, and when they do, it’s her job to seek them out and teach and lead. but now she has to make the decision of what the future of the aetheria will be.

and for now, she’s allotting herself with a galactic war. but there’s very specific things she will and won’t do. will attack the main threat. won’t attack minor threats. those aren’t her business, only the business of the people living on the planets she visits.
