Chu Hong Ahn worships the goddess, Odea, who represents bugs, cannibalism, and all things gross, disgusting, and repulsive. One reason Chu worships Odea is because Odea created insectoids (Chu's species) so Odea is like Chu's mother in a way. Chu's design was based off of the baphomet moth. Chu lives their life in The Temple of Insects underground and rarely leaves. When she does leave, she wears an outfit and mask concealing her form underneath to appear human. Sometimes when she leaves the temple to visit the nearby town, there is this woman in a yellow dress that catches Chu's eyes...

Sylvia Amber comes from a wealthy family. After her brother went missing, she fled her parents home in her early adulthood and became an antiquarian. She now lives in a small town near the ocean, recently there have been rumors of some ancient artifact deep in a barrow somewhat near the town. Sylvia's boss has ordered her to venture out and find it. She's used to venturing deep in tombs in search of old artifacts and antique trinkets, and though the barrow is a little further than she's used to traveling, it couldn't be that bad, right?
